This is my entry to the Rada Quest art contest found HERE

I just discovered this contest and this TCG, so I know very little about it. I browsed through some of the cards for sale to find a character to draw.

If someone knows of a link that has all of the cards in each set in one place that I could browse through, please let me know. Otherwise, this is one of the cards that someone is trying to sell off.

Meet Alicena, the fire priestess. Mine is not as fearsome as the original card. Probably because I don't have an innate fear of priests or priestesses.

And here is a step-by-step breakdown:

Step 1: Rough Draft

Step 2: Lineart (using a thin Real G Prn brush and a middle grey tone)

Step 3: Erase rough layer and create a flat layer.

Step 4: Create separate layers (clipped to the flat layer)

for hair, staff, gold, red leather, cloth

Step 5: Overall shadow layer

Step 6: Detailed shading layer, to fill in all the overlaps and ambient occlusion. This is the longest step.

Step 7: Detail layer (for eyes) and an overlay layer for flat highlights.

Step 8: Use AI to create a background layer.

Step 9: Create a glow effect layer and fill in the fire gem up top

Step 10: Sign my work...
