A little funny fish (oil on paper)

in Sketchbook9 months ago

Hello hivers, an happy Wednesday to you all!
Another day full of clouds in the sky over my city, but just few raindrops are falling down. My furry friend Richy is sleeping quiet on his comfortable blanket close to the sofa and, in the air, I can feel the autumnal season is coming. I like to think about Autumn, the right time for chestnuts and good edible mushrooms ( porcini time! ) to search inside the forest. In my region (Tuscany, in Italy) the Autumn is a season full of good fruits from Nature! ^_^

This morning, as ever, I woke up soon to work on some new artworks during the first, silent hours of the day and I decided to paint a little funny fish of mine, a sort of "goodbye" to the Summer time.
In the following pics, you can see the final result:

I painted this funny fish in ocher and red oil colors on a scrap of handmade paper (the same kind of paper I used yesterday for the small painting you can see here ).
As you can see, in this case I used a rubber stamp in form of sea waves on the background. Years ago I made some little different rubber stamp by my hand and I like to use them for my artworks.^_^

In the following pics you can see the steps of the process to paint the fish:

I hope you like it!
See ya soon and stay safe,
Silvia

This may actually be looking simple but it is not. It is a lot of work and that is why I always appreciate your works
Keep it up!

Very true

It really takes a lot especially when it has to do with creative art
