Upcycling old pages of a destroyed book: the duck (oil on paper)

Hello hivers, an happy Friday to you all! The weekend is again just around the corner and the Sun is shining on the sky, it looks a perfect spring day. ^_^
The weather make me feel in a very positive mood and full of energy, so (during the free time) I'm cleaning my lab and everytime I do this, I always find some interesting materials to use for my artworks. Our lab is really full of different materials we stored there for years(not just brushes, colors and art tools, but also materials to upcycle like old destroyed books and others things), so today I'm here to share with you another page of a destroyed book I just used like a surface for one of my paintings in my own illustration style:

As you can see, the subject is a black duck with long legs. I was inspired by the newborns of the duck who live along the side of the river close to my home. In the following pic you can see one of them:

For this piece I used my oil colors on a small page of an old book (a destroyed book) and, like I love to do, I took some pics while I was painted this duck so you can see the process too:

I hope you like it and stay tuned to see other similar paintings on old pages of books!
See ya soon and stay safe,
Silvia
