Trippy Thursday - Ate Too Much Candy

Here is a marker doodle for this #trippythursday

A blob of bacteria has rolled out of a candy store. Initially it had started as a basic Xanthan gum white/gray bacterial sludge but when it became sentient it needed quick energy.

Fortunately it found the candy store and started absorbing everything in sight to boost its energy and mobility. As it sludged through the twizzlers it started moving faster. The red dye really gave it autistic energy.

Soon it was into some flavored bubble gum which gave it the ability to climb up the walls.

Now its onto the Mexican hard candies. Some of the lead components in the candy gave it some technical ability to process thoughts better.

Now it found the starbursts and ate the wrapper as well as the candy. After all the wax paper isn't far off from the plastic substance they use to make the starbursts.

Now it found some fruit stripe gum and suddenly became ill. The flavor only lasted for a second but the hangover lasted for an hour as it sat in a puddle of its own color.

Now it had decided to try and eat other things for energy. This candy stuff is too fast burning and toxic.

Perhaps it will be off to a butcher store for some steaks. Maybe then it can become extra strong and grow muscles before it morphs into its final form.

For now it is just a colorful blob that is going unnoticed by the general public. A few rodents and birds pick at it but they are quickly absorbed. Eventually once it sludges its way into the meat shop it will be able to form a better body and all mammals better beware. Perhaps someone can throw some pharmaceuticals in its way before it reaches its final form to kill off some of the original bacteria. Who knows this might accelerate its transformation...

That's all for now, stay away from the Xanthan gum lest you become a colorful blob.

Cool doodle and fun story. I used to love Fruit Stripe gum when I was a kid 🙂 I got to go to the Candy Show on the Chicago Pier a couple of times as a buyer. Awesome experience. In addition to samples in all the booths, they used to have a sample room chock full of all kinds of candy and you could fill a bag to take home. They were playing Sugar, Sugar by the Archies on a constant loop when I visited the sample room lol

The initial taste of fruit stripe is quite nice but then it turns sour and bland instantly lol. I wonder if the candy show still goes on at Navy Pier? Not that I would want my toddler anywhere near it lol.
