INTRODUCTION
Hi! I'm Softy and I want to take you with me on a journey through nostalgia. I've been drawing for as long as I can remember but I started collecting sketchbooks when I was around 13 years old
¡Hola! Soy Softy y quiero llevarte conmigo en un viaje a través de la nostalgia. He estado dibujando desde que tengo memoria, pero empecé a coleccionar cuadernos de dibujo cuando tenía alrededor de 13 años.
FIRST PART
This blog will likely be the first part of a few more, not sure how many of them will be yet!

My first sketchbook was a little Death Note notebook, I started watching anime around that age.
Mi primer cuaderno de dibujo era una pequeña libreta de Death Note, empecé a ver anime alrededor de esa edad.
I have a lot of memories about this one, I used to have it in my pocket all the time. I also carried a pencil, maybe a pen and some colours.
Tengo muchos recuerdos sobre este cuaderno, solía llevarlo en el bolsillo todo el tiempo. También llevaba un lápiz, tal vez un bolígrafo y algunos colores.
I won't be posting all its pages here because I have a lot of them that are random lines only or too personal for me to share!
No voy a publicar todas sus páginas aquí porque tengo muchas que son solo líneas aleatorias o demasiado personales como para compartir.
A lot of my drawings are portraits of people I know or random people, sometimes I also do self portraits.
¡Muchos de mis dibujos son retratos de personas que conozco o personas random, a veces también hago autorretratos.
In the past, I used to scroll on Pinterest for inspiration, poses, and all that! I continue doing that to this day!
En el pasado solía buscar inspiración, poses y todo eso en Pinterest. ¡Y todavía lo sigo haciendo hasta el día de hoy!
I believe this Little Red Riding Hood is one of the first chibis I've ever drawn.
Creo que esta pequeña Caperucita Roja es uno de los primeros chibis que he dibujado.
On top of that, I believe I did this drawing because at the time I liked A-ing♡ (아잉♡) from
Orange Caramel So I can see what my interests were reflected in my drawings!
Además, creo que hice este dibujo porque en ese momento me gustaba A-ing♡ (아잉♡) de Orange Caramel. ¡Así que puedo ver cómo mis intereses se reflejaron en mis dibujos!
I remember that I lost my eraser on a plane because of the second drawing here, the one on the right. Also, there's a page missing here because I gifted a portrait of her to the lady sitting next to me.
Recuerdo que perdí mi borrador en un avión por el segundo dibujo aquí, el de la derecha. Además, hay una página que falta aquí porque le regalé un retrato a la mujer que estaba sentada a mi lado.
This sketchbook is full of eye drawings, practice pages, random notes, and doodles.
Este cuaderno está lleno de dibujos de ojos, páginas de práctica, notas y garabatos aleatorios.

Apart from that some of my drawings let you see what I was feeling at that moment, some have music references!

SECOND PART
My second sketchbook was actually meant for art, the pages were thicker and that's why I started experimenting with more mediums here! That's also the reason why none of these stayed in the sketch phase
Mi segundo cuaderno de dibujo estaba destinado específicamente para el arte, las páginas eran más gruesas y por eso empecé a experimentar con diferentes medios aquí. Esa es también la razón por la cual ninguno de estos dibujos se quedó en la fase de boceto.
Here I can see some fanarts, the first drawing is about how I was going back to school. Makes me think that I got this sketchbook while we were buying school supplies!
Aquí puedo ver algunos fanarts, el primer dibujo trata sobre cómo volvía a la escuela. ¡Me hace pensar que conseguí este cuaderno de dibujo mientras comprábamos útiles escolares!
I remember that for the one on the left I painted the whole page randomly with all the colours I had, put tape over it and black acrylic paint, then scratched it off
Me acuerdo que para el que está a la izquierda pinté toda la página al azar con todos los colores que tenía, puse cinta adhesiva sobre ella y pintura acrílica negra, luego la raspé para revelar el color debajo.
I started and finished a lot of these during classes, all my classmates and teachers knew I was an artist, that's also why here you can see that I wrote down the date for a Biology exam!
Comencé y terminé muchos de estos durante las clases, todos mis compañeros y profesores sabían que era un artista, ¡por eso aquí puedes ver que anoté la fecha para un examen de Biología!
CONCLUSION
I was going to add more of my sketchbooks to this post but I prefer to divide it in a few of them. I feel that it would be too long if I don't do that and on top of that I'm still learning how to make post so I get kind of confused with the order of the pictures and all that!
Iba a agregar más de mis cuadernos de bocetos a esta publicación pero prefiero dividirlo en algunos de ellos. Siento que sería demasiado largo si no hago eso y además todavía estoy aprendiendo a hacer publicaciones, así que me confundo un poco con el orden de las imágenes y todo eso.
As you can see my first sketchbooks have more finished drawings, that changes a lot in the future when I finally realize that there's no rules for art and what I fill them with.
Como pueden ver mis primeros cuadernos tienen dibujos más terminados, eso cambia mucho en el futuro cuando finalmente me doy cuenta de que no hay reglas para el arte y con qué los relleno.
Sketchbooks don't need to be perfect, they just need to be a space for you to practice, experiment, have fun and do whatever you want to it's pages!
Los cuadernos de bocetos no necesitan ser perfectos, solo deben ser un espacio para que practiques, experimentes, te diviertas y hagas lo que quieras con sus páginas.
