Jubilee, or Jubilation Lee, is a Marvel Comics superheroine known for her ability to generate energy blasts similar to fireworks.
Created by Chris Claremont, she has appeared primarily in X-Men comics and is one of my favorites for those effects. Her unique aesthetic and personality make her one of the most notable characters on the team.
Jubilee was orphaned and is the mutant daughter of Hong Kong immigrants. She discovers her mutant powers in California after the death of her parents. She is adopted, and her adoptive father registers her with a mutant control agency.

Notice how I leave the guide lines or directly mark where the shadows are located so I can get a better idea when I start marking because I drew the base with an HB pencil.
These lines are then erased, so the design isn't as messy, although for me leaving them gives a comic effect. In this case, since a certain part was in color, I prefer not to.
You have to be aware of where the light is projected to know where to color darker and in which areas to use lighter colors. In my case, and for this drawing, I'm using markers, so the tones don't blend or unify like colors do. But there are techniques to achieve this, such as crossing lines in opposite directions.
Noten como dejo las líneas de guía o directamente marco donde están ubicadas las sombras para poder tener una mejor idea cuando empiece a marcar porque la base la dibujé con lápiz HB.
Estas líneas luego son borradas para que no quede tan sucio el diseño, aunque para mí le da un efecto de comic el dejárselas, en este caso como era a color cierta parte prefiero no dejárselas.
Hay que ser conscientes donde se proyecta la luz para saber donde colorear más oscuro y en que zona usar colores más claros en mi caso y para este dibujo estoy utilizando marcadores así que los tonos no se integran o no se unifican como los colores, pero hay técnicas para lograr esto como lo son las líneas cruzadas en direcciones opuestas.
