I played football for the second week(end) in a row, last Saturday. It was an intense game with a bunch of fanatic man ( turning into boys once again ) and I needed yesterday to recover and rest my legs. Today I hiked to the village, in order to get some groceries. While doing so, inspiration hit me...
I guess it isn't so strange that I started thinking of Hypersensitivosaurus / a velociraptor playing the aforementioned ball game and how complicated this would have been for such a gigantic lizard.
Hypersensitivosaurus really liked football but, unfortunately, he couldn't play the game much. With feet as huge as his, it was pretty impossible to find soccer shoes and when playing bare foot, his nails would cut and slice through every ball they touched ( no pun intended for male readers ).
So, after having played a couple of times with other animals, they didn't want to have him on the team any longer.
The sad thing was, that if it wasn't for the terrible and nearly impossible act of *nail filing, he would probably have been able to be a great player, with his awesome velocity and great agility.
All he could do, was watch others play and cheer them on.
It was true that his toes had way larger nails than his small hands, but even being a goal keeper wasn't an option, as he would pop every ball that he tried to catch.
Poor Hypersensitivosaurus!

Filing against stones... aarrrrghhhh!
Just the thought of the sound and the feeling of this, made it impossible to do. The only way to shorten his nails was by accident or over time.

Maybe he could ask one of his friends to bite off his nails. I know it doesn't sound very appealing from a human perspective but maybe it's not that weird for a rabbit or a mouse ... hmm ... Just thinking about how to help my favorite dino <3
Hahaha! He will keep that in mind for the next time. That creature needs to like the taste and smell of cheese though ;<)

Clipping them sure sounds a lot more appealing than grating them on stones.
