In this artwork, I’ve been meaning to create an eclectic style metal sculpture. While in the process of conceptualizing my artwork, I thought of an object that is less likely to be featured in an actual artwork. That’s when I realize that the most familiar 3d object that I know of came to mind, that’s the Teapot. Well, the teapot is not a random pick from the software developer to integrate it into the software. It’s actually decided due to technical reasons since it has the best shape and form to test the quality of the software’s rendering.
Having that in mind, I built my idea thinking about how nature grows from the ground. Nature sprout from the ground from a tiny seed and grow taller through its thin stem.
From there I combined the idea of a teapot is sprouting out from its platform. In 3d visualization, the teapot is usually the spark of an idea. The initial testing of rendering also starts using a teapot as the testing object. Basically, the teapot represents the beginning of the idea and I wanted to showcase it in this 3d artwork.
