Tonight's work was done with charcoal for the first time. It really made for a great eye opener in how to use them.
They are unforgiving if you mess up.
The colour was achieved using watercolours for the first time which is going to need alot more practice from me.
I went with the basic sketch first. Then decided to do a night time/setting sun scenery with a few trees and birds.
Blues, purple and black were used for the night sky. I wanted to make it stand out really well alongside the setting sun.
I think it came out very nicely and I really am looking forward to more to come.
The colors looks so pretty and also the style is stunning!
