- Yes, I think a raffle would be a great idea. There should be a list of hive.based charities and 10% can go to them each week on a rotating basis with 5% going dao and 5% null.
- This would be a great idea for front ends to generate revenue instead of always trying to get proposals activated.
- This is also up to the front ends.
- There is peakD portfolio, definitely, this could be improved. Also, I think eventually someone could make shopfronts.
- I've thought way too much about this. I think the best way is to get the auto voters to agree on a simple code word to put at the end as a hidden comment.
[//]:#skipauto - Again front end solution. I think it would make a great setting, especially for votes over XX%.
- I see this as something the foundation should be working on when they are established.
- I think a proposal should be made to power up some of the dao funds so it can be delegated to abuse fighters like hivewatchers to be used for a specific purpose such as what you mentioned.
- I don't know what you are talking about. Do you have an example? If you log in with your memo-key and put # in front, it's hidden.
- This is an interesting idea. I think the tipping feature in PeakD gets this right. If you send someone 100 Hive as a tip and leave a link to your comment, they will pay attention.

I like your number 1 point here.
Very little is done for charities and we do very important work.
The Hive community can certainly benefit from a caring image and it might cost each Hivean maybe only 1%
@steematt has some great ideas here!
I agree too. No one wants to see Hive becoming a 100% charity platform. However, if I cannot find great content I want to vote for or something that will improve hive, I would rather vote for a charity than just something that will pay off. Also, some people want to devote a certain amount to a charity. In any case, I think eventually developing a charity raffle would be good. To do it legally we need someone with a casino license. I think 75% prize pool, 15% charities (could go all to one or whatever), 4% null, 4% dao and 2% admin would be a good ratio. I'd spend a few Hive a week on a ticket.
Ah! This will surely be the way to go, as believe it that charities, at least Papillon likes to give back to their donors and the 75% would be an ideal way to do this.
Now where can we find someone with a good heart that has a casino license ?
I know a few people inquiring and perhaps someone here has. I think best would be to have user-suggested raffles, where the various % can be decided.
Yeah, good idea as community participation is a must.
So call me when you start it :)
Hey, call me too!! Thanks for expanding on this so generously. This is the type of talk and mindset that makes things go from idea to implementation.
Will be sure to call you when anything happens.
Take care!
