MyPictureDay #6: Tetrahedron Bottrop

in OCD4 years ago (edited)

Hallo Hiveians,

First of all I want to send you my best wishes and I hope you are all doing well. Yesterday I visited a very special place, Tetrahedron in Bottrop, Germany. It is one of the top sights in the Ruhr area.

The Tetraeder (officially Haldenereignis Emscherblick) is a walkable steel structure in the form of a tetrahedron with a side length of 60m. The Tetrahedron was designed by the architect Prof. Wolfgang Christ and was built in the year 1995.

By the way, the tetrahedron is illuminated at night by a light installation and offers unforgettable impressions and views over the brightly lit territory in the dark.
