Dear Vieanna,
I voted on this blog but put it aside because I wanted to learn more about the Celestial Globe, which captured my imagination. I learned that it was actually a clock, timed to the position of the planets!
This is, as usual, a lovely post. It's wonderful that the cultural institutions of the city are open to its citizens (and visitors) again. (I took my first walk outside yesterday for the first time in months! appropriately masked, of course, and socially distanced.)
Thank you for the beautiful pictures . I like especially the one labeled Ephesus Museum.
Be well, and peaceful.
Affectionately,
AG
Dear AG,
The Celestial Globe is really a masterpiece of craftsmanship. Thanks for the link. On this website i often search for interesting facts about the artifacts on display.
I can imagine that you enjoyed your first walk after months. In the meantime something similar to "normal" life is possible here again. However, social distancing and the obligation to wear a protective mask in closed rooms remind us that we are actually still living in a state of exception.
So all the best, stay in good health.
Affectionately,
Anna
Looking forward to your next blog. It is always peaceful for me to lose myself in history and art. Your blogs are doorways to peace for me :))
With affection,
Your New York friend,
AG
All the best and warm greetings from rainy Vienna,
Anna
