Hello dear Hive community! Today we want to share with you how our last couple outing went before @fclore22 finally returned to face-to-face classes in the midst of the pandemic in Mexico 😮
¡Hola querida comunidad de Hive! El día de hoy les queremos compartir cómo fue nuestra última salida en pareja antes de que @fclore22 regresará finalmente a clases presenciales en pleno marco de la pandemia en México 😮
At the beginning of the day we were honestly undecided on where to head this time as there were a couple of pending things for the two of us to achieve. But finally @panconcajeta suggested to go to the old park of Coyoacan, and we mean old as historically it is, for those who don't know much about the history of CDMX and Mexico in general, Coyoacan is one of the first colonies to be founded when New Spain was established. So it has very old buildings, several of them are among the oldest in the contemporary metropolitan area of the CDMX, so you can imagine that this district has one of the longest histories in the country, and its architectural style is one of the oldest that can be found, along with the historic center of the CDMX.
So we got ready and headed towards the biggest subway station in the CDMX, Pantitlán, which we have already told you a bit about in a previous post. From there we were able to capture these beautiful photos of the view towards the international airport of the city. And from there continue the beautiful photos of the structures and figures that form the constructions that allow us to transport us day by day.
Al principio del día estábamos honestamente indecisos de a donde dirigirnos en esta ocasión ya que había un par de cosas pendientes por los dos que conseguir. Pero finalmente @panconcajeta sugirió ir para el antiguo parque de Coyoacán, y decimos antiguo ya que históricamente lo es, para quienes no conozcan mucho sobre la historia de la CDMX y México en general, Coyoacán es una de las primera colonias en ser fundadas cuando se estableció la Nueva España. Por lo que cuenta con edificaciones muy antiguas, que varias de ellas son de la más antiguas de la contemporánea zona metropolitana de la CDMX, así que ya se imaginaran que esta alcaldía tiene una de las historias más extensas del país, y su estilo arquitectónico del medio es de los más viejos que se pueden encontrar, junto con el centro histórico de la CDMX.
Así que nos preparamos y nos dirigimos hacía la estación más grande del metro de la CDMX, Pantitlán, de las que ya les hemos hablado un poco en un post anterior. De ahí pudimos captar estas bellas fotos de la vista que se tiene hacía el aeropuerto internacional de la ciudad. Y de ahí continúan las bellas fotos de las estructuras y figuras que forman las construcciones que nos permiten transportarnos día a día.
Incredibly we found ourselves on the subway tracks with this toy when we transshipped, quite a cute risk for the public welfare 😮. / Increíblemente nos encontramos en las vías del metro con este juguete cuando transbordamos, todo un tierno riesgo para el bienestar público 😮.
After a long journey, since Coyoacan is not very close to our area, we finally arrived at the outskirts of the downtown area, which was our destination, since neither of us has had the opportunity to go there and enjoy its pleasures in a long time. One of our first stops was a very nice square outside what is now the museum of interventions, which we did not visit because they were not providing service that Sunday, but we could appreciate from the outside and be amazed with the real cannons that are exposed on its facade, which apparently were used against the invasion that Mexico faced against USA in the years around 1840, that's another story that maybe we can tell you soon 😁.
And walking around the area we found in a green spot a statue of the same General Anaya, which is so iconic in the national history that even his name is in a station of the metro line, which was just where we got off to get here.
Después de un largo recorrido, ya que Coyoacán no está muy cerca de nuestra zona, finalmente llegamos a la periferia del centro de la alcaldía, el cual era nuestro destino, puesto que ninguno de los dos ha tenido la oportunidad de ir hacía allá y disfrutar de sus deleites en un buen tiempo. Una de nuestras primeras paradas fue una muy agradable plaza a las afueras de lo que hoy es el museo de las intervenciones, el cual no visitamos debido a que no brindaban servicio ese domingo, pero sí pudimos apreciar por fuera y asombrarnos con los cañones reales que exponen en su fachada, los cuales al parecer fueron usados contra la invasión que México enfrentó contra USA en los años cercanos a 1840, esa es otra historia que quizá podamos contarles pronto 😁.
Y caminando alrededor de la zona nos encontramos en un punto verde una estatua del mísmo General Anaya, el cual es tan icónico en la historia nacional que inclusive su nombre está en una estación de la línea del metro, la cual fue justamente en donde bajamos para poder llegar aquí.
Consecutively walking through the beautiful and quiet neighborhood we arrived to a small, but traditional and beautiful park called Xicoténcatl which @panconcajeta used to visit because it has a bar system, as remember he practiced a lot of calisthenics in the past 💪. Consecutivamente caminando por el bello y tranquilo vecindario llegamos a un parque pequeño, pero tradicional y hermoso que se llama Xicoténcatl El cual solía visitar @panconcajeta debido a que cuenta con un sistema de barras, ya que recuerden que él practicaba mucha calistenia en el pasado 💪. Estas son algunas de las fotos de este precioso parque.
We continued walking in the direction of the artisan center of Coyoacán, and on our way we came across beautiful and very peculiar houses, all an astonishment to see on their own. Until at the end the tourist area of Coyoacan began, you could notice it due to the presence of many people and stalls, as well as the increase of prices over conventional products. There most things were available at double the price of what you normally see in other parts of the city. Among so many offers we finally got a bag of pancitos de nata and a roasted elote cacahuazintle with chili, lemon and salt all a delicious delicacy 😋 🌽 🥞.
Seguimos caminando en dirección del centro artesano de Coyoacán, y en nuestro camino nos encontramos con casas hermosas y muy peculiares, todo un asombro de ver por sí solas. Hasta que al final comenzó la zona turística de Coyoacán, se podía notar debido a la presencia de mucha gente y puestos, así como del aumento de precios sobre productos convencionales. Ahí la mayoría de las cosas se podían conseguir al doble del precio del que normalmente se ven en los otros puntos de la ciudad. Entre tantas ofertas finalmente conseguimos una bolsita de pancitos de nata y un elote cacahuazintle asado con chile, limón y sal todo un delicioso manjar 😋 🌽 🥞.
As we were already hungry we set out to find a place to eat, due to the same factor that the prices were unnecessarily high, it was a difficult decision to find a place where we feel we are paying the right thing for what they offer. Until we arrived to a small but well located Mexican "garnacha" stand, where we ordered two quesadillas, a plate of enchiladas (of which we hope @fclore22 will bring you a recipe very soon, remember that in his profile you can find several of Mexican food among others 🙈) , and a chicharron gordita to share between the two of us, the truth is that everything was delicious and at a fair price 👌.
Como ya hacía hambre nos dispusimos a encontrar un lugar para comer, debido al mismo factor de que los precios eran innecesariamente altos, fue una decisión difícil encontrar un lugar donde sintamos que estamos pagando lo justo por lo que ofrecen. Hasta que llegamos a un puesto pequeño pero bien situado de “garnachas” mexicanas, donde ordenamos dos quesadillas, un plato de enchiladas (de las cuales esperamos que @fclore22 les traiga una receta muy pronto, recuerden que en su perfil pueden encontrar varias de comida mexicana entre otros 🙈) , y una gordita de chicharrón para compartir entre los dos, la vdd es que todo estuvo delicioso y a un precio justo 👌.
We continued strolling through the different visual attractions offered by the municipality, as well as in search of a traditional ice cream or churro that they sell around there. We passed by several places and listened to a very talented violinist playing in the park plaza, which contains a pair of wolves due to the very legend of the pre-Hispanic area before it became a Spanish colony.
Continuamos paseando por las diferentes atracciones visuales que ofrece la alcaldía, así como en busca de un tradicional helado o churro que venden por ahí. Pasamos por varios lugares y escuchamos a una violinista muy talentosa tocando en la plaza del parque, la cual contiene un par de lobos debido a la leyenda misma de la zona prehispánica antes de convertirse en una colonia española.
We also came across a funny dog being ridden by a mouse, among many other very striking dogs, especially for their large size and fur 🐕🐩.
También nos encontramos con un divertido perro al que lo montaba un ratón, entre otros muchos perros muy llamativos, especialmente por su gran tamaño y pelaje 🐕🐩.
Finally when the early evening had already fallen we set out to return to our homes, which was a bit of a complicated journey because one of the subway lines is still without access because of a tragic accident that happened, in which several subway convoys collapsed. So we had to walk to one of the nearby stations on another line, which took us about an hour of extensive walking in addition to what we had already done on the whole outing.
Finalmente cuando ya había caído la temprana noche nos dispusimos a regresar a nuestras casas, lo cual fue una travesía un poco complicada debido a que una de las líneas del metro sigue sin acceso a causa de un trágico accidente sucedido, en el que se desplomaron varios convoyes del metro. Por lo que tuvimos que llegar caminando a una de las estaciones próximas de otra línea, lo que nos llevó cerca de una hora de caminata extensa adicional a lo que ya habíamos avanzado en toda la salida.
And that was our last great outing of the week! We hope you enjoyed seeing the photos and learning about our weekend as much as we enjoyed experiencing it and sharing it with this wonderful community 👨❤️💋👨. We know we are on the threshold of very difficult times and moments for humanity and its history in general, but we strongly hope for better times to come and a respite from all the crisis out there in this great blockchain network 💛💙 .
