Like you I am picky, actually I do not know if it is a virtue or a defect, I hope the table is perfect and you do not have to make any repairs, I am also inclined to look for deals, but I make sure that the product is in good condition, good luck with the table and enjoy the overdue family celebration for the birthday of small steps. The table is in okay enough condition, that it can be in the living room without repairs, but I might sand it back at some point and lighten the stain. It fits well, in my opinion though :)
