RE: Like watching grass grow

in OCD5 years ago

I remember the RC issue fork. One advantage of Hive is we do not have a steemit style account/application lording over it. It was a simple fix so they said for an issue that effected steemit and steemit only at the time, prior to the RC issue. People cautioned about testing and reviewing the fix, but the fix was in, boom steemits issue resolved...opps now everyone was effected, the fix for steemit caused the RC issue, because of a decimal point got over looked, or something.

I hope if some thing happens on the fork that people allow time for testing the fix and that the developers don't just take one developers word that this will fix the issue.. I am looking forward to the first HF, but I think the telling ones, the ones that will show the direction Hive takes will be the next two forks. This fork seems to be mostly a cleanup the code fork and a finalization of Hives separation from Steem.

BTW...Is that the little grass patch you and smallsteps planted not to long ago?

Yeah, it was a little oversight issue with a tiny fragment of code that caused the RC depletion issue I think

Yep. This one is clean up - the next ones will hopefully be directed at building the ecosystem and user base.

Yeah, I might have to mow it this weekend :) It is a little patch in places, but at least it gives the sense of green. After the winter thaw, I will see the uneven patches and fill them in in spring again.
