Who would've thought that one day we'll be able to talk to the person who is sitting in the other part of the world. Who would've thought that its just a call away! Its all because of the rapid growth of technology. Our life has become so easy now a days. Technology is growing at an exponential rate. Everything is becoming smart now. Be it smart mobiles, watches , TVs , and even cars too. We don't know what's coming in the next 10-20 years, but that technology will be way better than that of today. Each and everything that we used to do manually, it is now technology who is doing it. Everything is now becoming online. A very short example is the bill that we used to pay, now just go the appropriate app and the recharge with just a click, be it mobile or TV or electricity or anything and everything is done in a matter of seconds. You don't need to go anywhere, only thing which is required is to be familiar with the technology.
Lets dig a bit deeper!
The future is AI or Artificial Intelligence, which is a very fascinating term and the most trending topic. Everything will be done by the machines. In a broad way it is the intelligence of the machines just like the intelligence of humans. If we go deeper we'll find that this AI is the superset of Machine learning which is then the superset of Deep Learning. Again Machine Learning is ability of the Machine to learn. These are again subdivided into Supervised, Unsupervised Semi-supervised and Reinforcement Learning . We have some target values to predict in Supervised Learning, in unsupervised learning we let the machine learn itself by finding some patterns , in reinforcement learning it is just like reward based, just like when a baby is told about what he/she should do or not do like so. Deep Learning is the implementation of machine learning. Now a days, we are familiar with self driving cars, Invisible Cloak, Object Classifiers these are all nothing but AI . And are one of the implementation of ML/DL algorithms. These topics are very interesting to learn and even you can build your own Invisible cloak or self driving car. These are just one or two examples that I gave, and I have already said these are the future. So I think you've got an idea about how important this is and what we can achieve using this.
Below is a picture about what AI comprises in a broad way.

I made an ML project at work before (list all adjustments done to an image, ex. darkness, contrast, temperature) — didn't finish it. I struggled with the HW requirements and unable to transition from a prototype.
Still I didn't lose any interest and hope to build a home automation someday to help save overhead costs—someday.
Yeah this is field is very intriguing, and also the fact that it has massive applications it increased my interest even more.
It's a bit too hard for me, maybe I should be OK doing non-ML coding even if I'm interested in it. Will ML APIs become more easier to use, or it will just become more complex in the next years, what do you think?
I hope what you said regarding APIs, if that happens that will be a great and the community would grow even more. But in the mean time, I also think that in the next few years ML would be literally everywhere and it's development would be key to notice. Still fingers crossed! 🤞
