RE: A gratitude post - What are you grateful for?

in OCD5 years ago

You know? That's just stupid good news re:Faith. Hell, makes me grateful.

Just this morning I noted in my journal that I'll do a 'gratitude list' in August. Rules are simple. Every day you write one thing you are grateful for. No stockpiling, it has to be every day and each day must be different.

My mentor that introduced me to this concept wrote my first entry for me. "I'm grateful that my doors and windows don't have bars on them." That was 30 years ago and it's still profound for me. I've done at least one per year since, and I like it. Focuses my feelings of gratitude.

Today I'm grateful for people on Hive that encourage me. It's a long list but you would fit in there. It's a good life.

Now this is what I'm talking about Tom! Nicely said and a great little gratitude concept. Little, but powerful.

I wake up and run through a list of things I'm grateful for each day, every day...Faith is on there, the fact I woke up and that I live in a peaceful country with a roof over my head also. There's other things too, different each day as you say.

I also make sure I tell people around me: work people, Faith, the girl at the cafe who brings my bacon and eggs in the morning and so on...Showing gratitude isn't just about big things, as you say.

Nice reply Tom , thanks mate.

Oh, I dig the fact you have a mentor. I fill this role for a few, and have one of my own...Valuable.
