RE: From wires to Blockchain - my journey begins

Welcome @hivelectrician
Really cool you made it! During Covid I taught myself the basics of electricity as it was an area i felt i often was taken advantage of. As in when you drop your car off at the shop and you know nothing about cars, the mechanic can charge you whatever and say they did whatever and you simply have no idea the truth. I live in Guatemala, and i didnt have a clue of electricity and it always felt like the electricians were asking high prices and problems would persist after work was done. Years of this and my frustration just had me learn the basics. Lol. Now i realize almost all the electricians were clowns and nobody was really doing good work. If you saw electricity here you would most likely have a heart attack and wonder why there are not more house fires.
I had a profession European electrician here a few years back, for 2 months we went through the property methodically fixing poor work, he over and over would be shitting himself over how dangerous local electricians work was.
Lol, and so it goes.
Moral of the story, if you ever want a working vacation and put that tourism background together with the electricity… you are welcome to visit my hive friendly hotel that appreciates safe and standardized electricians 🤣
I friended you, hope you stick around and find a home on Hive!

Just so you know. It doesn't matter where you live; it always depends on who's doing the work. I've seen videos of African electrical wiring, and I must say (I hope it's not discriminative, only being truthful), I saw worse electrical wiring in the "1st world country". It all depends if you enjoy what you're doing or only do it for cash. I mean, yes, money is the main reason, but it shouldn't determine the quality of the final products. I've always said I never want to be like those who only do this stuff for money and are sparing cash on every corner. I want to do quality work. This stuff can kill people, after all. But also because I want the end product to hold for 10-15 years, not that it dies after a few days when I do something. But yeah, with electricity, you never know; sometimes you do stuff that should work and doesn't work, and sometimes you do stuff that shouldn't work in no logical way, but it works... It's almost identical to programming, only in the physical world, not digital. We use the identical terms, but a bit different. Anyway, I always try to do the best possible work. It's all in the head, after all. You have to be motivated, and you have to love what you do. My work-mates sometimes make jokes about me... That I'm working just so I can work, not so I can get money🤣.
Thank you for the nice message and the invite. Maybe we'll come on that "work vacation" with my sister and her husband. 😉!
