Hola hivers - Hi hivers.

English Post
This peculiar plant, better known as Cineraria maritima, I met when I visited the botanical garden a few days ago, I found it especially beautiful, because its leaves are whitish or even a little platinum.
We do not usually see plants with this characteristic, and although it looks like a weed from a distance, this plant is highly valued to be used ornamentally because of its color, which in high humidity can become a little greenish but in ideal conditions it maintains that striking color.
One of the other characteristics for which it is widely used ornamentally is that it resists almost any weather condition, and is compared to snowflakes.
Unfortunately, at the time of visiting the park it was not flowered but when it does, it makes a very interesting contrast because from those white leaves, there are little yellow flowers, like pompoms.
If you want to grow one of these plants you must remember that it must be planted in spring, it adapts to almost any soil but prefers a clay soil with good drainage, and when it comes to watering it should be done daily but avoiding accumulation of water.
It is very resistant to almost any plague and its origin is from the Mediterranean, in the gardens they are usually combined with colorful plants, generating a very interesting contrast.
