I've got to say, (finally-being a noobie n a bit shy n all...) that if it wasn't for your articles about Hive for beginners, then I wouldv'e been happy to rip off my own head when I started on Hive 14 days ago before it exploded from confusion🙃, overwhelm😩 and frustration.😖😡
I really don't know what I would have done (apart from giving up...) if it wasn't for your brilliant and entertaining articles- especially Grandma's guide to hive...lol...and I have found that I am having to re-read them as things finally sink in and gel, but to be honest, it would be awesome if we could have some more detailed info with examples on the way that it all works as I don't understand the way that the tokens/hp/hbd are even costed and I' scared of hitting the wrong button/making the wrong decision/doing the wrong thing and not being able to reverse it.🙃
I have read your articles on the hive crypto things in the wallets and unfortunately for the most part, I can't even articulate the questions that I have about the whole hive payment thing. For example. I vote 100% but yet it seems like I'm only giving people 0.0001. To me, that's not 100%...it's not even a penny. Or is it???
So you can see my confusion (still) and the reluctance to do anything, or even join other challenges so some clarification would be very handy. 😉
Such as when providing a tip- which purse should the tip come from? what is the accepted base tip? Should I leave my tokens, HP, HBD where they are or is it safer to put them in the savings account? And if I do move them into the savings, then should I leave something in the pot for later? Why are there 3 types 'units' when they all seem to do the same thing?
What is the difference between upvoting and tipping?
How much is an upvote worth in the crypto currency?
How much is a tip worth in the crypto currency?
How much should I tip?
How do I know how much credit I have?
What is an RC credit (resource credit) and where do they naturally come from (without borrowing from the community credits).
In the HP purse, can you please explain about delegation in a bit more detail and what is 'claim account creation token'?
I'm really sorry😌, but I hope that you don't mind me blasting you with these questions, but I really want to do the right thing and be able to explain this to my friends so they will join and I have soooo many questions about this and I can't find the answers anywhere and I think that it's very important for the noobie to know the finer details so they they (I) know that I am doing the right thing by other people (financially).
After all, the devil is in the detail....🙂
Thank you, thank you thank you!!!
Hi, I am following you now. I have read EVERY single word and I will be writing about this sometime soon. Thank you for opening up. I notice you are also posting a lot. Delighted to see this!
Oh thank you so much @sidwrites, I got (have been) paranoid for the past 2 weeks now that my questions would sound foolish, but after conducting so much research to find the answers to no avail, I decided to swallow my feelings of sounding stupid to ask you and now I'm so glad that I did.
I also had a very detailed discussion with the very lovely and VERY patient Erik@flaxz last night on Discord explaining to me just how the percentage for the upvoting worked but it is a hell of a lot more complex and not at all linear or even logical sounding than I thought (or hoped/assumed). I actually likened it to a rotting onion as atleast a fresh onion it is easy to peel the layers...) Poor Erik.
Anyway, he has so kindly made a video on it today, but since I only asked him about the upvoting, I still have all of those other questions, so if you do have enough time, I would be eternally grateful if you could write a detailed article about them as I want to do a big promo post to all of my friends on FB (just under 600) and Film and Tv connections on LinkedIn (just over 700) but don't get me wrong, I'm certainly not an influencer.... but I want to try and I need to have all of the info correct in my head so I can give it to them with no hesitation or uncertainty, otherwise it may sound a bit shady...so thank you once again for your time and help, I really appreciate it. 😀
