Most people wear the "mask" because they fear being rejected for who they really are. Personally I don't see any issue with learning to control one's emotions but I really believe in living one's life the way you want to and respecting or at least not being bothered too much with choices made by others. Seems these days people are way too concerned about other people's lives rather than focusing on their own ;) Now if controlling one's emotions doesn't suit someone then I suggest an outlet whether in art (as you do so fantastically might I say) or perhaps sports. Its an interesting topic and thanks for introducing it... As far as being a kid I think we should nurture and encourage children to thrive within who they are in a positive manner rather than trying to make them conform to what is deemed "proper" by society or the parents.
