Why History is Awesome

History is awesome, but most people have such narrow interpretation of our past. There are several ways to bucket history: religious, cultural, politics, along with the actual depiction of past events. History has boundless examples we can learn from and morph into our guiding principles.

It's obvious people are failing to see what human experiences have happened in our quest for answering issues prevalent today. History is so narrowly interpreted by many because people like cling onto the first thing they learn about a historical event, which often times comes from what you learn in school; however not always the case.

Think about anything you've ever learned about anything about the past, your source often times is based on little or subjective information. Since history can be twisted in so many ways as the basis of argument, there is a strong interest from people seeking influence by manipulate events of the past and even as of recent applied in various forms of propagandist strategy.

The fascinating version of history comes from looking to understand the evidence yourself. Take for instance the history monotheistic religion versus the core understanding of the various religions in existence today, and the history is not aligned with it's cultural presence.

Religion itself evolved over time, has it's own history and what we see today in society is a result thereof. In retrospect, one should try and understand why religion evolved and one conclusion could be that it was the only platform for people in ancient times lacking the ability to communicate broadly. Today we see this done through the various media outlets and their respective political allegiance, leveraging technology to market new ideology.

It's easy to see religion evolving in history as means to educate the general public on right versus wrong. Today it's ever present we're looking to solve the question, and that's what we should consider moral.

If you're following along with the point I'm looking to make, then you may have your own interpretation of the history of monotheism itself since so many conclude their religion is the best answer to enlist everyone under.

Enlightenment Over Time

When did the human race try and get people to abide by certain levels of obedience; such as, not killing, stealing, raping, etc from other people?

I think we can agree that solving for this started with religion, and monotheism is by far in majority favor among the people of the current world. It may be surprising to learn that most of the religions today once lacked major elements that would only be learned over time.

The first people to start believing in one deity or God was not the Hebrews (Jewish people), it was Akhenaten who was the most famous pharaoh's father, king Tut. The interesting thing to note too is that Akhenaten was alive and reigning the people of Egypt before Moses. It might even be suggested that Akhenaten was the inspiration of Moses, or that the story itself just evolved to align to a time because power could influence history back then.

Revelations is the book of Moses but even when it was written, the Hebrews had no conception of Heaven or Hell. It wasn't until the Hebrews left Egypt to the "promised land" Isreal and they met the people of ancient Persia and their ruler at the time, Cyrus the Great. Zoroastrianism was the first religion to bring have the idea you have a good deity and a bad one and two different places you go based on the choices you make while you're alive. One can imagine how this idea by the Hebrew religious leaders was seen as a perfect way to incentive better behavior among the people of those times. It's easily conceivable why they were open to morphing Heaven and Hell into their religion as an obvious result.

The link is that being stuck on a religion is not different than being stuck on a political idea. If religious history and huge ideas can shift through an an agenda either the elite or leaders of the religion would push forward through their religious platform, then so can political ideas be shifted and directed through their alliance of media platforms.

Right versus wrong is meant to be questioned, and what prevails in history proves society shifts in extreme ways with time.
