The blockchain creator was never revealed.

In fact, even today we don't know if, who invented blockchain and created Bitcoin, it was a man, a woman, a group of people or something else. Although Satoshi Nakamoto introduced himself as a 37-year-old Japanese man on a Peer-to-Peer Foundation profile, this information has never been confirmed. The foundation dedicated to instigating direct dynamics between peers - between people - therefore a more than adequate place to spread a technology like Bitcoin, since one of its great banners is to eliminate intermediaries.

Various attempts and forms were used to discover his real identity. There are those who indicate their polished English as proof that they would be British, those who are guided by the hours at which their publications were made to indicate the east coast of the United States of America, and still others who suggest South America. appeared over the years several fake Satoshi, wishing to take the place of someone so brilliant and claim his 15 minutes of fame.

Nowadays there are “proofs” of Satoshi's origin on five different continents. This multitude of claims of its origin, seen from another perspective, can be seen as evidence to assume the most likely hypothesis that this identity is, in fact, a group of people.

Satoshi demonstrated mastery in such different areas of knowledge as cryptography, computing, economics and psychology as well as excellent communication skills, so it is plausible to assume that it would be a group of brilliant individuals who came together to create a technology that can transform the world - a less warlike Manhattan project.

According to historical estimates, by the end of 2006 the concept of Bitcoin would have been outlined and the code began to be written in May 2007. In that period, a climate of suspicion about the North American housing market was beginning to emerge, which many have overlooked, blinded by their greed.

This would have been the motivating factor for the development of the idea, which shows that Satoshi was also aware of the decrepit state that the North American housing market was reaching and hurried to create a solution.

Through the blockchain it would be possible to identify each of the mortgages included in the assets that were sold in “bundles” by the financial system and to identify the individual risk of each one without having to believe in the ratings assigned by an agency whose impartiality is sometimes questionable.

In October 2008, about two years after the first draft of the idea, the white paper - technical document - was published, which proposed the bases for blockchain and created Bitcoin. In that document he spoke explicitly about how Bitcoin would be an alternative to the traditional financial system without the need to trust intermediaries and their morals. Bitcoin was Satoshi's uprising.

By this time the entire code was already written. In a translation of his own words: "I had to write all the code before I was convinced that I could solve all the problems, only after I wrote the paper." Satoshi was active on several sites between November 2008 and December 2010. If you are interested in thoroughly researching what he wrote, all of his appearances are recorded at satoshinakamoto.me

After 2010, Satoshi disappeared forever. There are those who believe that it was for the good of Bitcoin. Bitcoin being a decentralized currency, the figure of Satoshi stood as a single singular point of failure that could jeopardize Bitcoin's development.

His disappearance was the missing piece to make Bitcoin fully decentralized.

On the other hand, the creation of such a powerful technology with the potential to cause serious repercussions in the traditional financial system, could arouse the fury of the forces installed, shaking their power. Their control over the billions of euros, dollars, pounds and all other currencies that circulate in the financial markets would be disturbed and therefore their disappearance may have been a way of shielding themselves from the possible reprisals that they could become. target, when these forces perceive and give the deserved attention to their technology.

What is certain is that Satoshi Nakamoto left a legacy that will endure. Since publishing the document describing Bitcoin's foundations, its creation has grown and multiplied in more than 2000 crypto actives that today flood the market. All of them drank inspiration from that document and some managed to increase the potential of their work, allowing blockchain to grow beyond finance and can now reach areas as diverse as health or social networks.

It is important to emphasize that the spark that triggered his work was the critical view of the corrupt financial system. Satoshi made a point of leaving at the root of the blockchain that created an indelible brand that would not allow us to forget the pains that the traditional financial system inflicted on society due to its greed and corruption that are not controlled by anyone.

When creating Bitcoin, Satoshi was offering the world an alternative financial system in which everyone is responsible for what they own and does not need to rely on intermediaries to make transactions, saving the high commissions charged. This alternative also allows public scrutiny to prevent malicious actors from concealing toxic assets and selling them as highly profitable assets. And yet, giving it an immutable character allows anyone who tries it to be registered and have to suffer the consequences of their actions.

With his disappearance, Satoshi Nakamoto left a legacy that is already transforming the world and a mystery that we still have to solve.
