My joy is always complete for a particular drawing if my client is always satisfied.

My friend actually contracted me to make a portrait for her friend Nora so she give it to her as a birthday gift.
The idea she used to present the gift was so so alluring.

I remember when she wanted giving me the offer, she was like, 'Dave, I really need to trust you on this one. I want to be the first human to put smile on Nora's face when she wakes up. I want Nora to wake up on her birthday, open her door and see this portrait neatly and lovingly placed on the entrance to her room. I hope you can handle it and give me what I want".

Even though she had had communications with other artists before me, she said she still felt I was the right person to take the offer..

I had to take my pencils, brushes and other weapons of my artistic fare, arraign them on my drawing board, talk to them about what my client want, and how I want my client to feel when she gets her portrait.
They listened to me, and they worked for me.
Nora's day was filled with ecstasy after seeing the surprise early morning gift her friend dropped for her...

Art is really a sweetener .

Below are the processes of my creation.
Medium: Graphite pencils, charcoal pencils, white pencil, tombow mono zero eraser, kneedable eraser and pelican paper.
