Hi hiveians

Beautiful morning to you all,wow it has been long I made dresses for my myself, and I do have nice fabrics for myself am just too busy when it come to my own .

Today I want to show you one of the dress I made for myself, it is a gathered gown made with Ankara fabric.

Cutting and sewing process
The gathered was made using mine waist measurement multiply by 4

I really don't want my upper bodice to look plane and simple I decided to do little design for front and back. From my armhole i make a curve down to my under burst also do similar thing on back and the lining was also cut out before taken to the sewing machine for proper sewing.

how to do gathered

Am making use of four yards of Ankara fabric for the down part, I firstly run a straight stitch from the edge of the Ankara fabric before pulling it with my hand.
Attaching it to the upper bodice and sleeves.
