Hello OCD i'm father2b!

When joining a community I feel that it is important to get to know one another within that community. That is why I have made time to write to you all and introduce myself.

My name is Stephen. Some of you here may already be familiar with me and looking through the members of this community I can see some names I recognize. I'm a 35-year-old dad of 2 ( Aaron 15 and Kaitlyn 9) from the UK and have been blogging on the blockchain for around 3 years, first starting on Steemit.

My knowledge of Crypto-currencies and all that comes with it is pretty basic but I have managed to wing it over the years. I decided to give the Hive a try because I miss the engagement and friendships that I built up along my journey.
I am excited to delve into the latest format of communities and see this as a positive step in social platforms as it gives the feeling of a Discord type experience which for me is better as I'm not flooding one place with irrelevant materials.

Why the Name?

No!
I am not expecting another child.
I choose the name @father2b because when I first joined Steemit, I wanted a name that really expressed my personality and what I am about. This got me thinking a lot.

  • what is my niche?
  • what am I good at?
  • what have I achieved?
    etc,etc...

You can guess that I pondered this for a long time but then a moment of enlightenment suddenly came over me as my daughter placed her hand on my shoulder and simply asked "What are You Doing Dad?

'What am I doing!?'

See I never had a father figure in my life when I was young. No one to look up to, no one to take lessons from, no one to inspire to. So the thought that I could be a father to 2 children suddenly scared me. This is when the light bulb turned on and I soon realized that I have been a father and judging by the love I get from my children and how great they are developing I have been a great father. This is when I came up with my alter-ego @father2b.

My Greatest Moments

**I have posted a lot of content across many platforms from Steemit https://steemit.com/@father2b
to Whaleshares https://whaleshares.io/@father2b
and now on Hive. But one of my favorite moments was on Whaleshares when I decided to run a contest called Mystery Box.

This was a contest that would run across 2 months. each week I would interview someone on the platform and get them to set out a challenge. Then the people who entered could win 50% of donated Alt-coins stored within that week's box. The other 50% would be put into a
Jackpot Mystery Box and all who had previously entered would be have a chance of winning the grand prize which after 8 weeks stood at a whopping 11'115 tokens.

You can watch the draw here

This led me to create a second account on Whaleshares https://whaleshares.io/@jackpot
which would be for contests only and although I wanted to make this what they call a pod account, The format on Whaleshares sort of changed, and suddenly it was difficult to make this work.

Other initiatives followed...

but with reducing platform engagement, this was my time consuming than rewarding and unfortunately not worth pursuing.

Venturing into The Hive

So That is me and here I am now starting a new journey on the Hive and with the OCD community (as well as others)

It will be great to get to know who is who and build up new and old friendships as I journey through the rabbit hole.
