Are you fond of making your layover productive and wanted to have an unforgettable moment in a short trip? Then this blog is perfect for you. Welcome to the Cycling Capital of the world where bikes outnumbered humans.
The Netherlands are full of unique, lavish and awe-striking tourist attractions that you shouldn't miss when you visit Amsterdam Central.
Even the Amsterdam Central Train station is already a stunner, it looks like a castle right when you stepped outside, renowned to be the famous hub and largest railway station in Amsterdam, North Holland.
Never skip these destination if you wanna spent a day or few hours of a layover from Amsterdam Schiphol Airport that would only take approximately 15 minutes to get there by train which costs $6.59 only.
If you are an avid backpacker and a travel enthusiast you're gonna discover its history and beauty while enjoying your journey.
Outside the station, you will see huge buildings with different architecture, tour informations and boats if you would like to go on cruise. Amsterdam Canal Cruise price depends on the type of boat you want to have a ride, it ranges from $14 to $25.
Shopping Spree
You may be carried out to go on shopping especially if you are a shopaholic. Around the place, there are many stores, restaurants, snackbar, foodtruck, souvenir shops , cafes to name a few.
The Dam Square
A big coupled square that is very crowded. This is one of my favourite place to unwind because you will be able to see tons of great building of historical structures , churches, entertainments, public events, museums and national monuments. Madame Tussauds and Ripleys Believe it Or Not Museum is also around the area, however, it is highly recommended that you have to make a reservation and book a ticket in advanced before going there.
Konijnklijk Palace
Konijnklijk Palace is known as the Royal Palace onthe Dam as it is by far the central attractions due to its history in the 17th century, it is also the most luxurious and the most visited spot in the city center. The Royal Palace is well-known as the home for the Dutch Royal Family where events and official receptions are held.
Magna Plaza Shopping Center
Magna Plaza Shopping Center is just behind the Konijnklijk Palace. This neo-Gothic style building is used to be the Dutch Main Post Office, we came across this place due to its incredible architectural details. I thought it is a palace or museum but this is now the Dutch Indoor shopping mall that gives real classic grandeur with a modern experience. Inside this mall are a couple of clothing stores, beauty products, tourist souvenirs, cafes, boutiques and some exhibition spaces.
For further information you may visit their site Magna Plaza Shopping Center. The shopping mall is open from Monday to Sunday, 10am to 7pm.
Red Light District
When curiousity strikes you and see what all the fuss is about :P
Prostitution is legal in the Netherlands. It may be funny for some , however, expect to see brotels, sex shops, strip clubs, sex museums , sex show events in some bars and varieties of women from different races. You can see some quite attractive women displayed in their barely-dressed appearance, mainly wearing bikinis and lingerie inside the red-neon light window just trying to get attention for their business.
Yeah this district is undeniably mental, the streets are narrow that will blown you away at how crowded the entire area gets at night due to the glowing red colors.
Furthermore, the canals around the area are also beautiful with lights, plenty of bars and restaurants to go for a drink and food.
De Waag
De Waag known as the "Weigh House" and built in the 15th century, originally a city gateway of Amsterdam and now it is serves as a restaurant . Have a look at this stunning structure-like castle with turret in a large square. De Waag is situated near the Red Light District. Bumped to this place because it is absolutely attractive and unique, best to see at night as the lights of this iconic building is really superb.
It is hard to imagine that you visited these places in a span of 2 hours. The photos look like different districts with a separate vibe to it. Anyways, I am really glad to see you around again and traveling in Netherlands.
One question though, how do you pronounce this "Konijnklijk Palace"? Hahaha
As a local ive been there many times hence i work around that place, it actually takes 10 to 15 minutes walk (depending on your pace) from the train station, so a total of 30 min back and forth , however when you are a tourist you wana take time to grab more photos , talk to the local , tempted to explore interesting places based on your liking hehehe
Indeed dutch language is hard to learn and pronounce, i know the feeling and the struggle is real hahahaha

Lastly, about your "about the author" part, I'm bothered by the long white space below your photo. You can use
<div class="pull-left"> Your photo here </div> <div class="text-justify"> Your texts here </div>
Instead of the
<div class="pull-right">
code. I think pull-left/pull-right format is best for photos side-by-side. But if it's your choice to have it as is. That's fine.I hope to see more of Netherlands from you. Keep it up!
haluu kim @ybanezkim26, im glad you responded in my blog, i am not so techy and i use some of your formatting style which is so helpful for me to apply it hehe <3 I've been missing so much in this platform, thank you for guiding me. I was able to pin this blog using pinmapple.com, it's so nice jud ay hahah .
I do also post this in twitter as you suggested and input the tags.
and for the about the author, i have struggles to input the div codes, did some research but i am as well bothered on the spacing (not sure if it is only me, or just the platform - because it doesn't look so pleasant hehehe)
i followed the div that you gave but this is the outcome (still the long spacing is there)
hope to hear your thoughts , and yes i'll be blogging more about the netherlands :D
I'll be sharing my formatting techniques post here:

You can find the "about the author" part at the end of the post. Can you try that? If it still doesn't work, I think it's because of the double
</br>
