Continuamos con esta compilación de publicaciones realizadas para guiar a nuestros nuevos usuarios para la adopción temprana del HIVE; he decidido dedicarme a responder las 8 preguntas realizadas por @theycallmedan en su iniciativa #HiveBasics, la cual pueden leer haciendo click acá.

El día de hoy vamos a hablar sobre un tópico bastante importante e interesante:
¿De dónde proviene el «valor» de la moneda HIVE?
Posiblemente esa sea la primera pregunta que se harán cuando lleguen a la plataforma, ya que ustedes deben pensar: «Ese dinero no puede salir de la nada», y tienen razón; para poder entender un poco cómo funciona el sistema de «valor» de una criptomoneda, vamos a tomar en cuenta un punto importante: la confianza.
¿Qué es la confianza?
Así como confiamos en personas, en hechos, en palabras, en nuestras capacidades, etc, la «confianza» con respecto al tema de una criptomoneda, tiene que ver con el nivel de aceptación que esta tenga por la comunidad, es decir, mientras más personas decidan utilizar el HIVE, más valor este tiene.
También la confianza la fortalecen otros factores como la facilidad de uso y la seguridad, y en este par de términos HIVE tiene muchas ventajas de las que hablaremos más adelante en este post.
Diferencias entre «Valor» y «Precio»
Debemos diferenciar estos dos términos, porque uno no tiene que ver con el otro, aunque sí se correlacionan, ya que ambos van a depender de la comunidad. Entonces, vamos a definir ambos términos:
- Valor: Si buscamos en Wikipedia el significado de esta palabra, obtenemos lo siguiente:
Un valor es una cualidad de un sujeto o un objeto. Los valores son agregados a las características físicas o psicológicas, tangibles del objeto; es decir, son atribuidos al objeto por un individuo o un grupo social, modificando -a partir de esa de lo cual es la atribución- su comportamiento y actitudes hacia el objeto en cuestión. El valor es una cualidad que confiere a las cosas comunes, hechos o personas una estimación, ya sea positiva o negativa.
Entonces, básicamente, es una estimación que le otorga un individuo o un grupo social (comunidad) a determinado objeto o sujeto; en este caso, como nos referimos a una criptomoneda, hablamos de un objeto, así que podemos afirmar que el valor que se le de a esta (HIVE), va a depender de dos factores:
- Qué tan útil es.
- Qué tan «famosa» o «conocida» es.
¿Por qué? Simple, si no es útil, nadie querrá usarla así que nadie le va a otorgar un valor y si no es famosa o meramente conocida, tal vez sea muy útil, pero nadie le va a otorgar valor porque no van a poder confiar en que es útil y segura ya que no tienen testimonios verídicos de terceros que la utilicen.
- Precio: Si buscamos en Wikipedia el significado de esta palabra, obtenemos lo siguiente:
El precio es el pago o recompensa que se asigna a la obtención de bienes o servicios o, más en general, a una mercancía cualquiera.
Entonces, independientemente del valor que la moneda posea, el precio será determinado por la misma comunidad, ellos decidirán si es más costosa o más barata, y con una mayoría de aceptación de dicho precio, este se mantendrá durante el tiempo. Esta es la razón principal por el cual el precio de la moneda fluctúa tanto en el mercado con el paso de los días, porque cada persona le pone un precio y la comunidad aceptará si comprar o no la moneda en ese precio, así el HIVE recibirá este precio y lo mantendrá.
¿Qué ventajas tiene HIVE con respecto a todo lo mencionado?
Pues resulta que el HIVE es una criptomoneda que posee demasiadas cosas positivas que la vuelven muy tentadora a nivel de inversión, estos aspectos son los siguientes:
Velocidad de transacciones: La velocidad de transacciones (transferencias, posteos, etc) o transmisión de información a la blockchain es muchísimo más alta que otras criptomonedas más conocidas (BTC, LTC, etc), y como estamos en una sociedad muy tecnológica, la velocidad siempre será un requisito obligatorio para perder la menor cantidad de tiempo posible.
NO COBRA COMISIONES: Este punto es sumamente importante, ya que muchas otras criptomonedas te cobran comisiones por cualquier movimiento que realices a nivel de transferencias entre diferentes Wallets, esto las vuelve bastante tediosas por la cantidad de dinero que perdemos entre cada transacción que deseemos realizar.
La transparencia: Al trabajar con tecnología Blockchain, a pesar de que nuestras transacciones se realizar en una modalidad Peer to Peer, es decir, sin intermediarios entre nosotros y nuestro destinatario, todas las transacciones pueden verificarse tranquilamente para evitar estafas, transacciones fraudulentas y demás cosas que sabemos que suceden con el dinero en la actualidad.
La comunidad: Una de las cosas que más llama la atención del HIVE, es lo activa que es su comunidad, esto la ha vuelto una gran candidata a volverse la evolución de las Redes Sociales para adaptarse al esquema de la Web 3.0.
La facilidad de uso: No es para nada difícil el hecho de conocer cómo utilizar la Wallet de HIVE para realizar transacciones, unicamente vas a necesitar un destinatario y un memorandum, al ser tan simple, cualquier persona puede aprender a usarlo y por ende, su adoptación se vuelve cada vez más sencilla de llevar a cabo en la sociedad.
Sabiendo todo esto, podemos tener certeza de que siendo los pioneros en cuanto a la adopción del HIVE nos espera un futuro bastante genial, con una plena libertad financiera que nos será otorgada a través del valor que nosotros le podamos otorgar a la Blockchain con nuestro contenido.

Today I'm going to talk about a rather important and interesting topic:
Where does the "value" of the crypto-currency come from?
Possibly that's the first question you will ask yourself when you arrive at the platform, since you must think: "That money cannot come out of nowhere", and you are right; in order to understand a little bit how the "value" system of a crypto-currency works, we need to take in count an important point: the trust.
What is trust?
Just as we trust in people, in facts, in words, in our capabilities, etc, the "trust" regarding the issue of a crypto-currency, is just the level of acceptance that it has by the community, so, the more people decide to use the HIVE, the more value it has.
Also the trust is strengthened by other factors like the easiness of use and the security. HIVE has many advantages about those two factors that we I'll be mention and will be described later in this post.
Differences between "Value" and "Price"
We must differentiate these two terms, because one has nothing to do with the other, although they do correlate, since both will depend on the community. So, let's define both terms:
- Value: If we search in Wikipedia the meaning of this word, we get this:

A value is a quality of a subject or an object. Values are added to the physical or psychological, tangible characteristics of the object; they are attributed to the object by an individual or a social group, modifying —from which the attribution is made— their behavior and attitudes towards the object in question. Value is a quality that confers to common things, facts or persons an estimation, either positive or negative.
Then, basically, it's an estimation that grants an individual or a social group (community) to a certain object or subject; in this case, as we refer to a crypto-currency, we speak about an object, so we can affirm that the value that is given to this (HIVE), is going to depend on two factors:
- How useful it is.
- How "famous" or "known" it is.
Why? Simple, if it's not useful, no one will want to use it so no one will give it a value and if it's not famous or merely known, it may be very useful, but no one will give it a value because they won't be able to trust that it is useful and safe since they don't have true testimonies from third parties that use it.
- Price: If we search Wikipedia for the meaning of this word, we get this:
The price is the payment or reward assigned to obtain goods or services or, more generally, any merchandise.
Then, regardless of the value that the currency has, the price will be determined by the community itself, they will decide if it's more expensive or cheaper, and with a majority acceptance of that price, it will be maintained over time. This is the main reason why the price of the currency fluctuates a lot within the market over the days, because each person puts a price on it and the community will accept whether or not to buy the currency at that price, so the HIVE will receive it and keep it.
What are the advantages of HIVE over all of the above?
As it turns out that the HIVE is a crypto-currency that possesses too many positive things that make it very tempting on an investment level, these aspects are the following:
Speed of transactions: The speed of transactions (transfers, postings, etc) or transmission of information to the blockchain is higher than other better known crypto-currencies (BTC, LTC, etc), and as we are living in a very technological society, speed will always be a mandatory requirement to lose the least amount of time possible.
NO FEES: This fact is extremely important, since many other crypto-currencies charge a lot of fees for any movement you make between different wallets within its platforms, this makes them quite tedious for the amount of money we lose between each transaction you want to make.
Transparency: When we're working with Blockchain technology, even though our transactions are made in a Peer to Peer mode, I mean, without intermediaries between us and our recipient, all transactions can be verified quietly to avoid scams, fraudulent transactions and other things that we know happen with money today.
The community: One of the things that most attracts the attention about HIVE is how active its community is. This has made it a great candidate to become the evolution of social networks to adapt to the Web 3.0 scheme.
Ease of use: It's not difficult at all to know how to use the HIVE Wallet to carry out transactions, you'll only need a recipient and a memorandum, as it's so simple, anyone can learn to use it and therefore, its adoption becomes easier to carry out in society.
Knowing all this, we can be sure that being the pioneers in the adoption of HIVE we have a quite brilliant future ahead of us, with a full financial freedom that will be given to us through the value that we can give to the Blockchain with our content.

Solo creo que haría falta señalar cuál es el valor más importante: tú, yo y toda esta linda comunidad. Nosotros tomamos las decisiones, movilizamos el mercado y hacemos de esta fantástica moneda nuestra. Eso tiene un valor monetario, la oferta y la demanda van de la manos con el precio de cualquier bien o servicio.
Mientras exista una comunidad activa que nutra de buen contenido esta plataforma, HIVE seguirá teniendo la relevancia y reconocimiento que tiene. Este proyecto nació una gracias a una comunidad inconforme buscando conquistar cada vez mayor libertad, y ese valor es plenamente humano.
