Hello guys, sorry I didn’t post the last few days. I was busy with work and my girlfriend had a birthday so not had time to write. But now I am here and today’s topic is talking about reasons why trading card games or sports games went crazy in value and got so popular. In my opinion Covid-19 played a huge role in it. Nothing to do, lockdown, everything was closed so people were staying at home and many of them including myself went back to their old hobby of collecting cards. We also can’t forget about big events that happened that influenced this branch like Logan Paul live stream opening 500.000$ first edition Pokemon base set or his 100.000.000$ worth of BGS 10 Charizard 1.edition (there are only 3 of them all around the world) that he has as a necklace during his box fight against Mayweather .
First of all, you to know there is 1 kind of version of cards, one ist „1.edition“ and the other one is „unlimited“.
Collectors are looking for first edition cards cause they are harder to find and also more expensive than unlimited ones. But there are a limited amount of first edition cards from old school sets so their prices will increase like crazy.
That’s why the first edition “The legend of blues eyes white dragon“ booster box in the first edition worth nearly 100.000$ and I remember I bought it like 20 years ago for maybe 50$?!
Now the question is does it worth it to collect those cards?
My answer is: it depends on your purposes…..if you only want to make more money you probably will fail cause you need to have all information about all cards and many people fail on it….but if you love collecting cards for yourself go for it and if you find a very rare and expensive card on your way event better for you :)
