I am sure most of you have heard about Youtubers getting shadow-banned without a warning from Youtube, Facebook users having their status and posts deleted and people getting censored for speaking out loud about their political and religious beliefs.
Censorship has taken off now with this whole COVID-19 "fiesta" and even doctors who decide to share their medical opinion with everyone are getting censored in no time by every centralized social media platform.
This is where platforms like Hive come in
The internet as we know it will cease to exist soon and if you want to play by other peoples rules that's fine but in case you don't feel like blindly following others then I suggest you start digging up more about blockchain technology and censorship-resistant platforms like Hive.
What is Hive?

Why you should consider joining Hive
Sooner or later we are all gonna be facing censorship issues both online and in real life. We are all witnessing blogs and videos against central authorities beign deleted without warning and that will lead to a new world order in which central authorities like governments will be the only ones able to decided what's gonna happen.
Unless we do something people will start accepting Human Rights violations orders like it's nothing. It's already happening and it will just keep getting bigger and bigger.
The same is happening online too. Information that do not fit some "criteria" are deleted and we can only see what they want us to see. Same thing that's been happening with TV all these years. You will be forced to read and watch what they want you to read and watch. Free speech will be dead if we keep giving power to centralized platforms.
Using decentralized platforms like Hive ensures that free speech will remain intact.
You can post anything without having to worry about getting censored cause you can't get censored. It's all stored on Hive blockchain and no one can NEVER DELETE anything stored on a blockchain.

A nice presentation. One objection though. Stake based voting is not democratic.

I thought it was quite democratic since anyone can buy his stake and vote for witnesses.
I guess you mean that it is not like political voting in which anyone can throw 1 vote despite his economic status etc.
English is not my native language and I didn't know how to explain how the voting system works. I didn't want to provide too much tech intel since I shared this one in facebook, Instagram etc.
Yeah it would be as though in most democracies one's vote carries as much stake as they have in wealth. It works somewhat like DPoS in any countries which do not have any financial limits on political campaigns like the US. However when it comes to the actual vote it is one vote one person.
