Rain, Rain, Rain
This week we have had a lot of rain not too much sun, this has allowed the soil to have the break it needs as it has been very hot in the past few weeks. There has been some amazing growth in the garden once again!
Apple Tree Delivery!
This week at long last we recieved the delivery of 2 Jonagold Apple Trees! These are a household favourite and one of the best growers in the UK! I wanted simple and tasty apples and also ones that would grow well, I'm a practical man! Luckily they were a bit larger than what I had anticipated, but they definately needed a drink! Problem is at the minute is they will need planting at some point before the pots gets too small, yet I have no idea where I want to plant them! Obviously because they have to stay there for such a while!
Blueberry Bush Delivery!
I also managed to purchase 6x Bluecrop Blueberry bushes and they have gone straight into the greenhouse as they are quite young and it is getting a bit cold! These too will need some watering and eventually planting, but where? Garden space is definately quite limited at the moment! Perhaps they can just go into larger pots and that will solve that issue!
Planting A Pear Tree!
We managed to find enough space to plant a pear tree down the garden. I dug about a 1/2 metre deep hole and filled it with compost first, then some top soil. Watered generously, then a mix of 50/50 top soil and compost for the rest of the way up and then put some stones around the tree to make it look a bit more pretty. The fence and stick are there as protection from the strong winds we've been getting recently and my 2 labrodors! Sniffing and wagging their tails around can be quite the branch snapper!
Grow, Grow, Grow!
Some of the vegetable growth has really started to come into fruition and we are starting to see some benefits. We have had to be so patient, I think growing your own food really forces you to be patient! No just rushing to the shops or getting a takeaway. A lot of care and time has been put into nurturing these vegetables! What you can see below are a variety of what we have in the garden!

Beetroot, Carrots, Chillis, Courgettes, Tomoatoes, Cauliflowers

Blueberry Bush, Tomatoes, Spring Onions, Cucumbers, Baby Gem Lettuce
Strawberries
These are starting to ripen which is great to see! Hopefully the birds don't get to them before we do!
Petite-Pois
The outer shells are starting to grow yet the sweet peas on the inside!
