I've just sent 10 hive to @practicalthought.
It seems one of the hive members is having trouble with the 'friendly government'.
He needs some dosh to help the ease the situation.
Here's his post, plus links to the relevant ongoing attacks - by the friendly government, of course

Which got me to thinking...about community.
Specifically the hive community.
A community is there to help and support it's members, isn't it?
Not in times of 'easy', but in times of strife and hardship.
Times of easy, is , well, easy.
It's only when the member within a community has hard times, that you see the strength of it , by the way it pulls together.
By the cost the community will collectively shoulder together, for the one.
(if there is no cost, there is no real commitment).
Now, for me personally, I'm very dubious of even framing hive as a community.
I think it's an old concept being foisted into a digital world, where the same qualities that have made communities previously - pre digitization- no longer apply.
REAL community is built through shared experience and shared history.
Four years is hardly 'a history'. And a digital interface is hardly personal.
Saying that, this is the perfect time for the community (if that's what it really is) to come together, and support someone on hive that's being attacked by the friendly government.
Don't you think?
Put you money where your virtue signalling posts are, so to speak...
Like I said, I've just donated 10 hive to the cause. It's not a signal, in an action.
That's around 1.25 per percent ( I think)..
Imagine if large players donated 1.25 %?
It's the ratio , not the bottom line amount, that shows commitment, for these show the commitment to said ecosystem, and not just some 2000 empty words on post extolling 'the community strengths'...
My 1.25% is just as valuable, proportionally, as someone's 1.25% of 100,000K hive.
Isn't it?
Or does the term 'community' only count when it's a convenient one liner for the virtue signalers to sell the concept of hive?
Ok, guilt trip over.... I'm only messing with ya.lol.
But , you can still go and give some dosh to a guy that's under attack from our 'friendly governments', ya tight fuckers.
Community?..... We'll see.
You guys really have shown such a brilliant heart. Thank you for making such an effort it really is humbling. Big love going out to you and yours
