The police revealed allegations of online gambling through the Higgs Domino application in Batam City.
In this case, there were 3 perpetrators who were arrested by the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Barelang Police at a coffee shop in the Lubuk Baja area on Sunday. One of them is the seller of the Higgs Domino chip.
Based on the inspection, the chips are sold for Rp. 65 thousand per 1 B chip. From that, a chip seller who is known to a woman named Ame (32) earns a profit of IDR 500 thousand per day.
"The perpetrator who is a dealer gets a profit of Rp. 15 million per month from the results of the Higgs Domino chip transaction," said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Barelang Police, Kompol Abdul Rahman at a press conference.
Apart from Ame, 2 other people were arrested by the police, namely Herwandi (32) as the organizer and Andy (50) as a player.
Kompol Abdul Rahman said that the disclosure of this case stems from reports from the public who claimed to be restless with the rampant gambling activity using the Higgs Domino game application.
From the report, the police conducted further investigations to arrest three people who were in the process of chip transactions.
