Are gender debates becoming gendered?

I remember sitting in the car listening to the radio on the way to school and hearing the Battle of the Sex's. Your stereo typical radio show where they'd pick a random male caller and a random female caller and asked them random questions and the most points scored meant that was the smarter gender. The questions were often dumb in themselves, a bit of brain numbing entertainment on the way to school.

These days you only need to turn the news on to get the same level of brain numbing entertainment only this time encompassing more genders. At no point am I mocking or disagreeing with anyone. I don't think there are many people around today that would disagree or argue with anyone about someone's sexual preferences. For most, this probably isn't something that crosses our minds.

Yet it is something that is constantly battled about, you can see why people believe its a "government distraction" from the bigger picture issues such as inflation, economy, employment and quality of life. Why aren't these things being debated?

Let's be honest, most the people we see on the T.V toilets are probably their biggest issue because they don't have to worry much about anything else unlike the rest of us.

But I can't help but feel that the whole gender debate has become quite gendered in itself especially if we do focus on the toilet saga. I always find this one unique because I spent a lot of time in country areas and your toilet was the closest bush or tree.

Parks didn't particularly have toilets and sporting clubs only ever had the one non gendered toilets and change rooms. Much like at home there was no such thing as male or female toilets they were just toilets.

Of course places like picture theatres, restaurants (but not all) nightclubs and a few other places had male female toilets.

Over the past few years they started adding female toilets to the mix and fair enough as women didn't feel safe or wanted their privacy but it hasn't taken long for another mass debate around toilets to occur and this one seems to have stumped the world.

Who would have thought where you can shit would become such a problem, if there was ever a first world problem that takes top place this is it.

The world has seemed to have gone mad when it comes to dropping the kids off at the pool (slang for: laying a brick, taking a dump, taking care of business, pooing). Such the luxurious and carefree life some live that the biggest problem they face in the modern world is what restroom they can use.

So confused are people but it doesn't really matter what Gender you are you have either got one or the other in some cases maybe both but I can not grasp the difficulty in the toilet use case. Should we just remove the pictures of males and female and rebrand them as penis and vagina so people are clear on which toilet they can use.

Not that it would make much difference as the toilets wouldn't be any different other than for urinals but how is this topic such a globally dominated debate.

Perhaps it is just the great distraction to occupy people for the great reset. Or maybe people are confused about the toilet they can use.

Some food for thought
