Hello everyone, hi dearest Hivers! Is everything went well? It's been a while now for not posting anything here. So today, I want to share with you my vaccination day.
August 31, 2021, its Tuesday, me and my colleague went to the vaccination site. I was on duty on that day, Day 2 of our VINSET(Virtual In Service Training), there's this Miss Dayday (my colleague) approach me that we will be having our vaccine injection today. Before this day happened, allow me to tell you a little story to our original schedule.

RHU (Rural Health Unit) Daanbantayan has been very busy of the operation for the COVID 19 vaccination program for the people of the Municipality of Daanbantayan. Kandayan-ons (people in Daanbantayan) need to register first in an online site which is to be found in the page of 'Municipality of Daanbantayan' for the scheduling.
Few days before our schedule, me and my colleague had a talk that we must have had an enough rest before we get vaccinated, because August 30, 2021, Monday (our Day 1 of our VINSET) is our plan to go to the vaccination site. Sadly on that day, there's no operation, we are late to realize that it's a double holiday. Its a 'National Heroes Day' and a Town Fiesta (the main location of the RHU). So, the plan were moved the next day of it. As I approached Miss Dayday about the vaccination on the 31st, she said, there is still no operation for the vaccination because RHU personnel will have a rest and the people as well need rest since it is from a fiesta celebration so I reported to school for duty. But a few minutes later when Miss Dayday double check the rumors of having no operation to the relative of hers who is working in the municipal hall, when we knew that the vaccination were resumed, we immediately went to the site and yeah, finally we got it.

But, wait! Why do we need to get vaccinated? What is this for?
COVID-19 or the Corona Virus Disease-19 become our nightmare since it turns rampant by the year 2019. This virus once it is inside the body, it complicates and starts with fever, colds, cough then to pneumonia where it originates to difficult breathing.
Why do we need to get vaccinated ASAP? It has been said, another strong virus is around, the ' Delta variants'.
We need to be vaccinated to boost our immune system to produce antibodies in our body. The antibodies that fight infection and inflammation.
mRNA (messenger Ribonucleic Acid) vaccine is designed to combat COVID because this antibody which are developed and recognized specifically to the virus. Our body doesn't have antibodies specifically targeting to COVID that's why we need this vaccine to fight the virus. Vitamins alone doesn't produce antibodies against COVID virus. Our natural antibodies could be defeated by the said virus. In the vaccine that the protein introduced, mimic the characteristics of the virus in return, our antibodies were produced. Our new antibodies being produced after the vaccine will fight the infection of COVID virus.
If there is no vaccine inside our body, we will be probably defeated by the said virus. The vaccine has spike protein to develop antibodies and those antibodies will fight the infections brought by the strong virus that we are so scared of, the COVID-19 virus and this new one, the Delta variants.
If we are thinking for the side effects like becoming zoombies and our life is just up to few months or a year, that might be the reason that will be ended our life too soon. Proper education and right information is very important. Let's not be afraid of this vaccination and stop believing those conspiracies around.
Being vaccinated is not mandatory. It is still your choice. We have that freedom on what we prefer of. Just be mindful in everything and be responsible of your safety. So here we are, fully vaccinated with the J&J vaccine manufactured by Janssen. Remember, the best vaccine is the vaccine available in your health unit right now. Don't be choosy to the vaccine to have, the important thing is you will have and be fully vaccinated.
Remember to have enough rest before and after your vaccination for your safety. Don't be exposed in the crowd right after you are vaccinated, still wear face mask all the time and be extra careful still.
Got my 1st dose just last Friday.
