RE: This strange black-and-orange locality

The last photo in this post is surreal. It almost looks as if it's some kind of sea creature. The contrast between the background is striking so the object seems to suspended in air or water giving a strong 3D effect.

This is more than a new lens. It's a new point of view. As for the first pictures, I have no idea what they are. It's like some of your poems when I first read them. I wasn't sure where they were going but I felt good and my mind went in circles reading it like reading a mystery.

The world has mysteries. It is better for many of those mysteries to be left undiscovered for some time. Then when we are ready those mysteries are revealed.

One of the things that goes along with waking up from a dream is dissapointment. The dream world is strange and exciting and while in that state resolutions are made and great tasks are accomplished. The secrets of life are all revealed only to wake up and find a mosquito buzzing over head. In a pinch the world couldn't do without these gadflys.

It's fascinating that when we look at things from very close or from a great distance, they no longer resemble themselves. I tend towards the abstract, but have gravitated to a more concrete style over time. This piece, however, leaves a lot to the imagination, I think :-)

Absolutely. If we understood everything — or once we do — we wouldn't exactly need to be in the world anymore, whose primary purpose is to allow the opportunity to learn.

+1! :-D Thanks for the great commentary.
