Ésta es mi participación para el Concurso semanal de @gertu, ¿Qué haces con?, esta vez le tocó el turno a los pimientos.
This is my participation for the weekly contest @gertu, What are you doing with ?, this time it was the turn of the peppers.
La fotografía precedente muestra una de las formas como acostumbro a preparar los pimientos. Nos gustan mucho rellenos y cocinados al vapor o bien al horno. El relleno puede ser variado, de carne de res, carne de soya o simplemente vegetales. Es un planto de muy linda presentación y puede acompañarse con u sencillo arroz blanco, papas al vapor o bien un puré. En la fotografía se observan las papas que se cocinarán junto con los pimentones y así cocino todo más rápido.
The preceding photograph shows how I usually prepare peppers. We really like stuffed and steamed or baked. The filling can be varied, from beef, soy meat or simply vegetables. It is a very nice presentation plant and can be accompanied with a simple white rice, steamed potatoes or a puree. In the photograph you can see the potatoes that will be cooked together with the bell peppers and thus I cook everything faster.
En mi casa paterna los cultivábamos en macetas, son plantas pequeñas con hojas alargadas, directamente de los tallos brotan pedúnculos en los que primero se abre una pequeña flor de color blanco y al secarse ésta, comienza a formarse el pimiento.
In my father's house we grew them in pots, they are small plants with elongated leaves, peduncles sprout directly from the stems in which a small white flower first opens and when it dries, the pepper begins to form
La planta en la fotografía precedente, engaña pues tiene las hojas y flores similares a las de los pimientos y es difícil saber cual es cual hasta que aparece su ramillete de flores, pues las plantas de pimentón forman una sola flor en cada pedúnculo
The plant in the previous photograph, deceives because it has the leaves and flowers similar to those of peppers and it is difficult to know which is which until its bouquet of flowers appears, because paprika plants form a single flower in each peduncle.

Sus diferentes colores animan los verdes de otros vegetales o el blanco del queso . Asados en la hornilla o la parrilla son exquisitos y en los pinchos, espectaculares. Son muchas las recetas que se pueden preparar con pimentones. (pimientos). Y también un excelente centro de mesa, pues con su color llamativo dan mucha vida al ambiente.
At home we really like raw peppers, alone as fruit or in a salad with other vegetables. Its different colors enliven the greens of other vegetables or the white of the cheese. Roasts on the stove or grill are exquisite and on the skewers, spectacular. There are many recipes that can be prepared with paprika. (Peppers). And also an excellent centerpiece, because with its striking color they give a lot of life to the environment.
