Gracias, @gertu por este concurso, pues busqué en internet la planta y me hallé con la gran sorpresa de su bellísima flor. Así que no lo que hago, pero si haré es moverme para conseguir la planta y ver esa belleza en mi jardín.
I learned about turmeric relatively recently when its medicinal use as an anti-inflammatory and anti-carcinogen was recommended to me. It is obtained with some ease in natural stores and in the so-called open-air markets, that is, outdoors. But, I have only seen it in powder, and that is how I have bought and used it.
Thank you, @gertu for this contest, as I searched the plant online and was surprised by its beautiful flower. So not what I do, but what I will do is move to get the plant and see that beauty in my garden.

Dentro de un precioso cáliz se desarrolla la flor. Es de una belleza espectacular.
Esta especie exótica da un toque sabroso a la comida. Coloco directamente en los caldos y sopas, una cucharilla, tamaño café para darle color y sabor.
También la utilizó para los guisos de pollo y carne, pero en ese caso, sobre un sofrito de un par de dientes de ajo y cebolla o directamente en el guiso, cuando ya está casi listo, para que le de ese bello color que le es característico.
Within a precious chalice the flower develops. It is of spectacular beauty.
This exotic species adds a tasty touch to food. I place directly in the broths and soups, a teaspoon, brown in size to give it color and flavor.
I also use it for chicken and meat casseroles, but in that case, in a sofrito of a couple of cloves of garlic and onion or directly in the casserole, when it is almost ready, to give it that beautiful color that is characteristic.
Pero son las raíces, que pareciesen zanahorias con costuras, las utilizadas para producir la especie - colorante que conocemos como cúrcuma. Usualmente en polvo. Gracias por venir a compartir tus experiencias. Te diré que mis plantas no dan flores rosadas. Sus flores son blancas, en ese mismo bulbo que brota de su centro, en una espiga erguida. Salen varias florecillas blancas.
Es bueno sembrarla en casa, si se da, te dará un puñado de rizomas para comer durante unos meses.
