Meet Me!

in OCD10 months ago (edited)

I usually don't find writing difficult but for some unforseen reasons, introducing myself seems like the most difficult thing to do, but then, I thought, why not just start anyhow.

Hello Everyone! I am The Moon Conversant and I am from Nigeria. Yes, you're wondering how I arrived at being the moon conversant? I know, because I've received lots of messages from people asking how I got that name. I'll tell you little.

I'm an introvert and I enjoy my own company. I enjoy writing to talking. Of course, I do talk but I enjoy talking when the conversation is on an exciting topic and not just unnecessary talks. People say I am too serious. But the truth is, I am the most flexible and amazing person they'll ever meet.
I spend my whole day in my room reading books online and my night writing whatever comes to my head. At night, the moon shines brighter and illuminate my dark room with it's presence from my open window and I feel like it has come to keep me company or tell me something, and then I lay on my bed and talk to it. It's fun doing that.

I graduated from University of Ibadan where I studied Economics Education. It's so exciting to give out what you know to those that doesn't. Those moments I have a reason to leave my room and stay in the midst of younger ones, teaching them is one of the memories I cherished. I had been a subject teacher and also a class teacher at different times.

I obeyed the clarion call and I must say for someone that loves their own space, the three weeks in camp was an experience I can't forget. It was tiring, exhausting, fun, and amazing. Some days I'll feel like crying and some days I'll have to push myself up, counting the remaining days I have left. I had served in Mangu local government, Plateau State. The cold in that state is nothing I have ever experienced. For someone that prefers the cold season to hot season, that was way too much for me.

I love to read. Not school books though but every other book, I read. I read my fictional stories on Wattpad and I also have some PDF files which I do not take serious. I like to run my hands through papers as I read. My first novel was "Once in a lifetime" by Danielle Steel.

I love to cook. I spend my days surfing the internet looking for new recipes to try. I am a Nigerian and I can cook almost all food of my tribe. I extend my surfing to other tribes. And I eat. Food is life.

And I sing to myself. I have a very nice voice but you wouldn't know because I won't sing to your hearings.
I love cultures and different traditions. I read about them online and I find them interesting. Although, most people find it boring and they ask me what is so interesting about it.
I enjoy narrative stories. I can go on and on narrating a book I read and people would tell me how much they prefer me narrating to them than reading themselves.
I enjoy art & craft like crotchet making, paintings. I look forward to visiting a gallery some day soon.

I heard about Hive from a good friend @moremoney28 . He was my taekwondo coach back then and he had really worked me out.

I will be sharing with you exciting stories about different culture and traditions in Nigeria, sharing with you new recipes of food I find interesting, telling you random stories, and of course updating you about my gist with the Moon.

I hope it interest you as it interest me and I hope you enjoy it. It's good to be here and I hope I'm welcome.
