Merrrrrry xmas!
Had my mountain bike down in Mexico for over a year and never rode it once! This area where you are now looks a lot more appealing for riding than where i am. Maybe when i get back... You have motivated me.
Apart from those dogs. i got blitzed by some while on a long ride one day in Ecuador. What i figured out was that the street dogs were actually very chill. It's the house dogs that are vicious.
