Hello My friends
On one occasion I visited the Sumatran elephant breeding in Negeri Antara Village, Redelong sub-district, Central Aceh Regency. A number of Sumatran elephants who are there are tame elephants who are used to herd wild elephants that roam around residents' gardens and settlements. The task of these tame elephants is to protect the settlements and gardens of residents from the tantrum of wild elephants.
Dalam sebuah kesempatan saya mengunjungi penangkaran Gajah Sumatra di Desa Negeri Antara, kecamatan Redelong, Kabupaten Aceh Tengah. Sejumlah Gajah Sumatra yang berada disana adalah Gajah jinak yang digunakan untuk menggiring gajah liar yang berkeliaran di seputaran kebun warga dan pemukiman. Tugas gajah-gajah jinak ini adalah menjaga pemukiman dan juga kebun warga dari amukan gajah liar.
A number of Mahot or Pawang are in charge of overseeing a number of tame elephants, they are officers from the Regional Disaster Control Agency who live there with these tame elephants. The following are some of the images that I captured there while visiting the tame elephants' captivity.
Sejumlah Mahot atau Pawang bertugas mengawasi sejumlah gajah Jinak tersebut, mereka adalah petugas dari Badan Pengawsan Bencana Daerah yang menetap disana bersama gajah-gajah jinak tersebut. Berikut adalah beberapa gamabar yang saya abadikan disana ketika berkunjung ke tempat penangkaran gajah-gajah jinak tersebut.
