RE: Why Do We Clean Our Space?- A Consumerism Trap

in OCD3 years ago

This is a really great post @moon-city! I am not on Instagram and therefore had no idea of what goes on there. It boggles my mind to see so many products showcased like this. I have had some friends who overstock like this, so you're right on point. Well done. I'm enjoying reading your posts.

Thank you so much Nine! I had quite some difficulty writing this post and scratched out two paragraphs as well but I appreciate your comment! I remember overstocking once and it was a waste of space. Things get dusty and realistically not all of them will get used up before it expires. Also, having a lot more choices actually created a barrier to make decisions quickly.

This, too. The Burden of Choice is a tricky little thing. I have issues with this.
This is why i try to frequently remind myself to just do the thing, any thing. The more time spent thinking about which thing to do is less time spent doing any thing.
Thanks for the thoughts 💜

You nailed it Cat! Sometimes its best to start one thing and not think too much about all the details in front of you. Thanks for sharing your comment! 😊

You're welcome! Sometimes it goes like that with writing posts. I couldn't tell you had a hard time with it all when I read it though. I make most of what I need, so I only buy raw materials. There was a time when I had things I didn't use and need. You're right, they collect dust and take up space.
Good point, too many choices is a barrier to making quick decisions.

Thank you for your feedback nine! Its always appreciated
