First and foremost the Hive blockchain mean to me that the former Steem community will continue. It means that the emotional bond and friendships form in the communities will not come to an end. It means that we have a great opportunity to start anew with our gained knowledge, experience and our dedication. And it means to me the great potential for our very own blockchain is alive and well!

Every Blockchain Has A Story
Once upon a time there were a Blockchain and a Community. Sometime the community was happy and sometime they were sad. The things that made them happy were their friendships, relationships, contents and of course their rewards. They were very happy and optimistic about the potential there blockchain had to not only improve their lives but the potential to improve lives all over the world. What made them sad was that their blockchain did not reached much of it potential as expected.
Then one day a stranger came into town. The stranger said I can improve your blockchain and make it reach its potential. The community was optimistic and happy but when the stranger calls his team of carpenters to work on their blockchain they only had tools that could tear down their blockchain. Some of the community was sad but some was mad as hell.
It didn’t take long for many to realize they not only had better tools than the stranger but their tool was made for building not tearing down. So the community gathered their tools and build a bigger, better and much improve Blockchain then they could imagine.The happy ever after part will be told later.
What is HIVE to me?
For me Hive is definitely an opportunity to be a part of something big from the beginning. Like buying and owning Apple and Home depot stock in the beginning before it was worth like a gazillion dollars.
I would mention that I feel very sentimental about Steem. My granddaughters haven’t visited us here at my home in over a week. When they do visit without fail one of them will open my office door and say: “GrandPa you working on Steem”?
I am sure they will be disappointed when I tell them I am not working on Steem anymore. But not to worry I will tell them I am working on Hive for the honey bees and that will make them happy.
What do you want to see HIVE evolve into?
I personally would like to see the Hive blockchain and others evolve into worldwide tools to improve mankind.
Does anyone remember a 56kb modem and downloading from the internet at 2.4kb speed? Anyone remember rotary phone where you stick your finger in a hole to dial the number. BUT WAIT anyone remember the internet before Al Gore claim he invented it. :)
I would like to see the Hive Blockchain evolution follow the scale and magnitude of the above mention.
What do you think about having a large funded DAO for future HIVE development?
Without a doubt this will be a big factor in the success of the HIVE blockchain. No one question that people like to invent, create and develop any and everything. No one question what creative people like the most: GETTING PAID FOR WHAT THEY CREATE.
I encourage the entire community to enjoy the new Hive Blockchain and work hard to make it great alone with yourself.
