It's not unusual for me to pick up "treasures" from recycling bins. A year ago I found two wooden trays outside a bin and I took them home. Today I got one of them in my hands and (I was too bored and had to do something creative) and I transformed it
from a piece of trash...
into a romantic work of art!
With three coats of white chalk paint, some designs from a paper napkin I had saved (from the Christening buffet of a friend's little girl) and two coats of varnish the tray from the rubbish got turned into a beautiful piece again.
Some rubbing with a piece of sandpaper to make it look more vintage and we are done!!
Soon its little friend is going to be transformed into something beautiful too! I haven't decided on what I'm doing with it yet, but I think I'm gonna make something to match the other one.
