You see this gear in my hand, years ago I never knew the worth literally all the gears I had in my possession when I was little was damaged by me all so that I could see what it is like inside and how it can operate but little did I know that some day it would mean this much to me ( one of the lessons life has taught me anyways, you never know what tomorrow holds)
Let me tell you all about today’s jpegs that I’m about to show you. There’s this friend of mine that I take pictures of regularly, some day he was around my house with a fashion model and he reached out to me to enquire if I was available for a collaboration shoot with her unfortunately I was in the middle of a Fifa tournament with my friends, right away I told him “No” cause honestly I wasn’t prepared for all that, I’d been shooting all through the week but I told him to setup a reschedule rather he gave me her Instagram handle to communicate with her which I did and we setup something for a particular day of the following week.
Honestly, collaborating with female models for free is really frustrating in the sense that they take it for granted and show up whatever time they desire not minding whatever plans you’ve made (this has been occurring to me during this period of pandemic and it’s really tiring) . I told her we were supposed to have this shoot on a Thursday by 1pm this girl showed up by past 3pm at some point of continuous asking her of where she was and she kept saying she’s coming but she wasn’t I had given up already and called my friend explaining things to him which he assured me that he was going to place a call through to her to enquire what’s up with her, few minutes later she texted me telling me she’s on her way, eventually she showed up past 3pm and I just changed the whole plan that I had initially, right away I found an alternative which was shooting within my street cause it was already late. Here’s the behind the scenes;
By the way this outfit was selected by her, I was really amazed about how it turned out although it wasn’t what I wanted but she had told me she was going to put on a really nice outfit. Meanwhile when she showed up, I introduced her to my assistant and they were both vibing with each other while I was setting up some things to make the shoot convenient enough for everyone.
I was getting my settings right before I could start officially.
I appeared as the director again 😂
During the course of this shoot, we were all impressed at the results and it seemed so much like we were shooting outside the country (at first we weren’t really sure of what to expect cause my street didn’t look to nice to be used as a location for such outfit) which both I and the model themed the shoot “ A day in Tokyo “ 😂 honestly I don’t know why we choose Tokyo but here’s the outcome anyways:
After we got the series of images we wanted we ended the shoot and went inside my house, she went to change her clothes as I was transferring the images to my laptop, I did a slideshow so she could see everything and she was really amazed at how the images turned out and she made a very beautiful sentence “ some persons are really talented “ I was honored. It was getting late already and she decided to get going but we exchanged contacts before she departed, it was a frustrating day at first but it end well anyways. I took the images on my canon 1100d and 50mm 1.8 and edited them using photoshop cc 2015.
