Hey, all of you Hive blog members. Have fun always.
For a moment I noticed the lovebird was so beautiful and very intimate with its partner. Although the eyes see the beauty and intimacy between the birds, my mind has far beyond the sky. Yes, this is about the marriage environment which is very different from human marriage.
All of you must have often heard about inbreeding wherein this form of marriage is basically a marriage of organisms as opposed to the biological purpose of marriage, which is the mixing of DNA.
For humans, marriage between people who are still related by blood at a certain level is called incestuous marriage. As for the animal world, it is called inbreeding marriage, namely the marriage of one relative. As for the negative impact of inbreeding or incestuous marriages on humans, I have long studied. And I know about it.
From some of the literature that I read, basically incestuous marriages in humans have a bad impact on offspring because it can result in:
- Low child resistance.
- Children may have albinism (albino).
- It is possible that the child has hemophilia
- may also experience infertility.
Actually, there are many other bad effects. But actually, the bad impact is clear and we have often found it. In addition to this, you need to know that the bad consequences above are not always the result of incestuous marriages, but can also be caused by other factors.
Inbreeding in birds
I noticed the life of a dove that I once had, each laying eggs the number is still 2 eggs. Then the hatchling child as an adult will become his true partner.
Likewise lovebirds, in general, each lay only 2 eggs. And when the hatchlings mature, they will become true partners. This means that the chicks perform inbreeding mating.
Are there any adverse effects of inbreeding mating on birds?
Some biologists strongly recommend that to obtain superior bird offspring, matchmaking should be carried out between birds of different breeds. I think this is very good advice. Because genetics will affect the superiority of the next generation.
But there is one thing you need to know that based on my experience, pigeons or lovebirds that are bred, the offspring of a pair can be confirmed as male and female. When the child grows up, it is usually moved to another cage. From this marriage, they produce offspring that are the same as their parents. This means that the puppies were not found to have abnormalities both in terms of physical and behavioral aspects.
So from that fact, I think that there are differences due to incestuous marriage or inbreeding between birds and humans. But I have not found any expert research on it. Hopefully, some of you can find the answer.
Thank you guys for visiting my post. My Warmest Regard
