Last summer (well if you haven't posted for a while, you'll get a lot of content lol) both my boys passed their exams for school. Still a milestone in their and our lives. They both worked hard to pass with good grades. We are very proud of both, two completely different boys but real brothers.
From school they organized a graduation ceremony where both boys were told a nice story from their school careers. Very nice to hear and a nice end to a high school career :)

my youngest son still had problems choosing a further education, he actually wanted to join the army or a job in construction, but both are not possible. Due to a medical error, when he was 6 years old, his arm was permanently damaged, so that he can not use his arm for long and heavy and the anatomy has changed due to the many operations he had to undergo. For him, a limited choice in the future has had a major impact, he has had a very difficult time with it for a long time. Nevertheless, he eventually found a good education. He would like to become a personal counselor for young people with a difficult background or need for help. A noble profession where many people are needed, and with his social skills and kindness and patience that will be all right.

My oldest son is in a selection process with the Marine Corps. A tough (physical and mental) selection where not many people go through to the second round. although we hope and think that he will make it, we did ask him to think about plan b. What if you don't make it, what are you going to do? He has thought about that and if he does not make the selection, he will study International Business in Utrecht. Also a great study with which he can go in many directions, but of course we hope that his dream comes true and he can get started with the Marine Corps.

Have a great evening all !!
Peter
Congratulations sir, choice of career is one of most important thing life. Goodluck to your sons
I thought one of them was trying their hand at the culinary arts. Was I wrong with that or not. Best of luck to them wherever they end up. It sounds like they both have a great foundation so the path ahead should be stable no matter where they end up.
You're right Bozz, the youngest was :) Thank you :)
Hey @verhp11, nice to see you active on Hive again. Also congrats to raising such wonderful children who can fight for their future starting from such a young age. I hope they can both get in where they want and pursue their dreams. Marine Corps is a tough one, but good thing he was willing to listen and have a plan B as well.
Many things have changed on Hive and I'm here to drops you a few suggestions for the future. OCD is for topics that don't fit in any other community, should be used when you don't find a niche community for your post. For topics about family and friends we have a community with the exact name -> Family & Friends, where you can post next time in case you have stories about family and/or friends.
Here's a guide I put together to help you learn about how communities work and why you should use them -> Communities Explained - Newbie Guide. I also put together a list of communities, which is not complete, there are much more communities on Hive, but it will help you get started.
Once you posted your post in the right community, you can then cross post it to OCD community. Here's a guide about cross posting.
Please don't delete any post with the purpose of reposting it in another community as that can be considered abuse! Leave this post here, you'll get it right next time.
Happy blogging :)
Hi there Erikah,
Thank you very much, also for pointing out the communities and new Hive :) It's been a while ;)

No worries and let me know if you need any help :)

Kids have to find their own way in life, but it looks like yours are off to a good start. I'm proud of mine too.
