I believe a lot of people make it very hard on themselves as they think they have to have some "amazing" topic to write about.
I think that the content creation is about one's life. For example, what have you done today? If nothing interesting, therefore you think it would not be interesting for others as well and you wouldn't post.
Perhaps this is part of the problem, where people are unable to recognize what is interesting in their lives anymore. I find that the people who passively consume the most, have the lowest curiosity and creativity.
