I love the idea of being able to use crypto for pretty much anything. It's definitely a great way to spread the word about Hive or any other project by giving it a "real and current value" as in being able to put food on tables.
Hive's inflation is quite limited and is decreasing in amounts yearly, don't focus too much on that. Sure it means that distribution isn't as good as it could be
This is true for HBD but not Hive. Should Hive become more sought after, the amounts given / bought would simply become less. Bitcoin is definitely in use, but there's no need to add a couple billion of them so everyone can own one.
