The kid i wrote about is a real person. He lives on the first floor of the building next to mine. Right now, he might be sleeping soundly not knowing how close he came to being sent to heaven. And that is his freedom. I chose not to turn him into a meat sack despite having the situation perfectly on my side. And that is my freedom.
We bengali peeps even after almost fiftey years of liberation still do not know what freedom is. You mustve heard about the recent event of a major being killed by the police officer. And that is exactly the perfect example that can define freedom, at least the mutated version that we live in. One got killed because he didnt know what do with his freedom, and the other killed him because he overused his. Its astonishing how a concept that can be defined with just a single word can be so complex and intricate.
Yeah I heard about the incident, but there's too much political cloud surrounding it. However, it does show how freedom can be approached in all the wrong ways.
